whats the max damage for weapons?

so, someone told me in-game that the max damage for the sword is 23 dmg. is that true and is that the max dmg for axe's and hammers too? i would thought someone would've asked this question already but the seach didnt lead me anywhere.

cool, cool, thanks. it says max for axe is 6-28, so that means that there is no axe that has a range of 10-28 for instance, but are there any type of runes that could bump the min?

Well, just the other day someone posted a pic of an axe with 7 min. damage, so who knows...

Axes are a little wierd, near as i can tell from seeing them, as the max damage increases, the minimum range of damage increases. So with max dmg of only 20, the range can be smaller and the min damage higher. But with max damage, the minimum range makes the highest min damage 6.

The damage range is what makes axes balanced over say, swords, which have a much tighter range of damage. At least thats my experience.
