Good place for ranger to get XP??

MY ranger has spent 89 of 89 skillpoints and I'm insanely tired of getting krak flamewhip his damn cold ones for xp. Does anyone know a good place where a r/* could "farm xp"? Thanks!

I solo trap trolls outside of Drok's.... bring the scroll that ends if you don't get a kill in 30 sec., and use it right before the trolls hit your traps. You can drop 10-15 simultaneously, and then round it out with the other 10-15 in/around the cave. All goes pretty quickly and easily. Lemme know if you want more details or my build or anything.

yep... solo trapping the Mountain Trolls right outside Droks is definately the place to farm exp

a simple 16 WS and 15 Expertise build with the following skills can easily farm exp and gain 1 skill point every 1-4 runs

I've tried that but you know how the first group in the beginning of the cave is only 6 people, how did you get so many trolls in the pic above?

Where are the Mountain Trolls outside of Droks? I don't see them :x

And how can I do this as R/N?

Solo trapping UW is great, 249 EXP per axxate kill. Got around 1 million EXP and a ton of skill points.

UW quests are great for XP

Did you see the screenshot above your post with the skills used.
As for the trolls, once you leave Droks from the Talus Shute exit head left and they should be inside a cave.

As another option, I do it with

flame trap
dust trap
spike trap
barbed trap
serpent's quickness
storm chaser
troll ungent
Edge of Extinction

So basically, spike if you don't have oath shot yet, and EoE instead of whirling. I rarely have problems pulling, and I like the location marker as well as extra damage from EoE.

The trolls outside the forge don't even attack fast enough to kill you, lol...

I run a pretty similar build to the one posted above me, and it's almost TOO easy to be fun, but it gets the job done...

So, considering ya' don't seem to know much about the Trappers class,
Thats a pretty decent place to figure out the build...
And one of the best for Exp as well.

AND You get good drops.

Ya, is soloing UW with a ranger really hard since u have to trap really fast, any1 got screen shots of a ranger soloing?

Doing quests with a group in the UW or FoW is also great exp. If you have a group that knows what they're doing you can rack up the exp pretty quickly.

Do any of you know how to solo trap UW or know where a guide is? I can solo the trolls OK but at least 1/3 of the time only about 6 will spawn instead of 12.

Trolls are fast and good exp - It gets boring though, and Hardly even pays for the time money wise. You might get 1 gold drop...a day..there.

I found it but, since then there been the AoE nerf and the dust trap nerf -_-. And then in that thread there were all these insecure fools trying to boost their ego by starting a flame war . If its still possible to solo UW please post the build, and I don't want this topic to get locked so to all you assfaces with nothing better to do, stay the hell out of my topic.

the build i have in the pic above can still solo the UW... or atleast the Aatxe's and Smites... there are prolly better builds for solo'ing as a Ranger in UW tho

Other than maybe throw dirt for Whirling Defense and any of the other evade skills for storm chaser , that build is pretty much the fundamental UW solo build for rangers. Not sure any are really better than the other really. Except Throw dirt does take a second to use. While the others are instant and basically uniteruptable. I personally use lightening reflexes, shorter in duration but shorter cool down.

As for exp, make BM build and go do Snake Dance. Once you get past the Heretics (which is doable) it is clear sailing. At least there you might possibly get a decent drop as well. Don't fight the Dlyaks run until they stop chasing you (after you clear the griffs) and then you have Trolls galore. And Giants which aren't to hard either.
