A pleasant place that needs more rain. T_T

The Rose Society

I was bored last night, so I tossed one of my low-level characters into Ascalon's arena. Our team was assembled of (if memory serves)

Me- Mesmer/Elementalist.
Random Guy- Warrior/Monk, not wearing armor of any sort.
Random Girl- Elementalist/Mesmer
Random Girl- Warrior/Ranger
~Her Melandru's Stalker

Other team (again, if memory serves)
Ranger/Necro
Ranger/Mesmer
Ranger/Mesmer
Ranger/Necro

All from the same Guild.

They rush for the hill, we cautiously advance, and the match is over in less than 15 seconds- we all were spiked. o_o;

Obviously, they had this coordinated and well-planned, but does that strike anyone else as a little odd? Are instances like this common? (The Guild being kept together in Random Arena, not the spiking.)

they may have all hit Enter Mission simultaneously (coordinated over TS etc) and they may have gotten lucky. =)

there are so few players in the low level arenas, if they start the timer there is a good chance some of them will join the same team.

after a few tries all 4 will be in, and then an organized team (esp with drok armour and elites) can stay together like forever.

It was probably a luck thing like remmeh said. I never actually seen it happen before because its basically random of course I don't faction farm the lower lv areans all that much too.

I've managed it before with my guildies and my girlfriend. All you do is hit enter at the same time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's actually a lot more fun when you go up AGAINST your guildies.

It's an old thing that I think was fixed in the last update. If you traveled to the international districts, a lot of times there was either no one or just a couple afk people in the district. The guild could have entered that and then played you guys.

I think the update made it so that now people enterring in international districts are grouped in the same pool as those in our districts.

Check the recent updates thread for more info on that, I might be wrong.

Once I overheard 3 people in Yak's Bend trying to get on the same team. (I don't think they were in the same guild.)

But, as you said, there are so few people in there, that I kept getting one or two of these losers on my team - who would immediately LEAVE if they didn't get on the same team as the other. Over and over and over, making it impossible to play. I reported them, but I don't think anything happened to them.
