Attribute point glitch?
Sab
I completed both attribute point reward quests yesterday and to my surprise (only noticed today), I only have 185. Now, I've been through the attribute point quests previously with three characters, so I'm quite confident that that they were done properly with this new character. Perhaps I've missed something obvious this time through? None of the NPCs involved in either quest have a ! above their heads (I've talked to them all just then, just trash talk), so I'm quite confused as to what's missing.
Has anybody done both 15 attribute point quests since the update? And if so, do you have all 200 attribute points? Or has the recent update bugged this?

This actually happened to me about a month ago with my necro. I did both the 15 bonus quests and still only have 185 points available. I did the Vanyi one first, and then the other one. I've redone them both about 3 times, and still haven't gotten the last 15 points.

wow that's horrible...submit a bug report
Sab
But I'm not sure if it's a bug or if I've missed something.
Edit: Oh wait, you meant Raab. Yeah, report it.

@the OP: So you did specifically Forgotten Ones > Forgotten Wisdom, and you did Hero's Challenge (not Hero's Journey)?
fallot
Its possible that one of your quests never got completed, check your quest log and the NPCs that initiate the quests. If that doesnt work, try a bug report.

This happened to me once too. To fix it, I had to return to the desert and complete another secondary quest, then return to Droks and do the Heroes quest again. Glad it happened to someone else, I thought I was loosing my mind or something... /whew

Are you level 20?
I have a level 19 Necro with 185 points, once I hit 20 then I would get up to 200.
And I have done both 15 points quests.
I bet you are not level 20.

If you accidentally sell your extra points to the merchant you can't get them back. They look like wood.

When I put my cursor over my attribute points, it says, "...185 points out of 200 possible"

I have this same problem with my necro. I redo the quest once a week hoping i'll get it. for some reason it becomes impossible to get the quest to check off as done. I only have this problem on one char and only doing the vanyi quest. its incredibly annoying

If you have fullfilled both requirements, then you go to Copper Hammer, talked to her "sister", went to the location the "sister" says to go, killed the pop-up beast, then went back and talk to Vanyi (or what ever her name is) for your reward, and it still doesn't work then something is funky. Time for a bug report from the GW website.
Maybe some screen caps would help.

lol I'm aware as is the OP that there is something funky. obviously from my description you can see i'm not ignorant of how to complete the quest. as for what is wrong well. only Anet knows and so far they aren't telling

Did you do a secondary change quest on the first one?
Markaedw
Hmmm....Have you tried to changing your secondary, even if it is just for the quest?
You can also try to abandon the quest and pick it back-up, I've done that a couple of times when a quest isn't working out right.

I had exactly the same problem...or so I thought.
When you originally do the quest given to you in Destiny's Gorge, you will not receive attribute points, nor will you have the opportunity to even do the second leg of the quest until you've ascended (and done at least one secondary profession quest, I believe).
If you, like I, completed the quest before moving on to Drok's Forge, you can go back and talk to Sariss Yasisith (the Forgotten whom you talked to at the end of the original Anelle Phipps quest), and he will have a quest for you (to meet his brother). This is where you get the 15 points.
