I'm pretty happy with my mastery of the Necro and warrior and the amount xp on both of mine is getting rediculous so I have decided to try out the elementalist.

Since I plan to actually play though the game some real basic suggestions for a low lvl geomancer in pve would be nice. Eventually what I really want to try out is getting a few geomancers builds for GvGing working. I know very little about elementalists but something along the lines of throwing down wards up front with the warriors maybe doing some light spike dmg sounds like it would be alot of fun.

Don't really need any builds 100% spelled out for me as messing with different builds is where all the fun is. Just want some ideas to help get me started.

Unfortunately there are very little earth skills available early in the game so you won't be able to be a full geo till later in the game. with that said there are quite a few geomancer builds floating around. There are the e/mo and e/me farm builds floating around this forum =). for GvG basically you will want to be a ward setter for your team and have an attack or 2. the only real damage dealer for the geo unfortunately is obsidian which does 116dmg (armor ignoring) when your at 16 earth. If you want you can have a knockdown build for GvG where you can pretty much shutdown one of their players...ie monk. Run a E/me with archane echo. hit him with enervating charge <causes weakness> then archane echo then stoning (knockdown if foe is suffering from weakness) stoning takes 15 sec to recharge i think but you will have it twice to use. make sure you take ether prodigy or elemental attunement with this though cause stoning cost 15 energy. It also does nice damage. If you want add in aftershock to hit for double damage on the monk. Hope that helps also galigords stone staff helps.

Well, going by the skills you can get in the ascalon area without wasting skill points, I think you are mostly limited to a number of defensive skills. If you want to be an geomancer warrior or geomancer monk, that could be interesting.

The GW site hasn't been updated so I can't tell you specifically what skills you can learn there and which can be trained. I know you get a pair of defensive skills in that temple place to the east of ascalon. So until you get a damage spell like obsidean flame, most of the fun you'll have will be in tanking enemies.

Aftershock is one of the key earth skills. But it's is a purchase-only skill that you can't buy until late in the game (I think Grotto). However, you cap it earlier (I capped it in Dragon's Lair).

It's a classic example of a non-elite to cap.

Hi

Apart from now you can get all skills early in the game ^^

And yeah, if playing as geomancer, brin at least one armour buff along, it just makes things so much easier, and they are so cheap (+ its the main strength of the class)

but im pretty sure kinetic armour of earth and aftershock are all buy only, so you might as well ge tthem, and have fun tanking better than any warrior can
