The Labyrinth of Night [LoN]

My quasi-farming solo build for Diviner's Ascent, which kills sand drakes, jade scarabs and rockshots easily. I do this more for fun and the challenge of staying alive than serious farming, though.

Fastcast 9
Illusion 13 (or 14)
Inspiration 11

Mantra of Persistence
Crippling Anguish [E]
Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantasm
Inspired Enchantment (or Drain Enchantment, it doesn't matter)
Energy Tap
Illusion of Weakness
Ether Feast

Enchanter's Armor
Performer's Gloves
Vokur's Staff

The primary target is the sand drakes outside of Elona Reach, but can take down rockshots and jades as well. The strategy involves a lot of hit-and-run strafing and kiting as you degen the target to death, as staying too close to the drakes will hit you for 105 damage per Aftershock attack (or 81 damage if the +15AL from the Performer's Gloves kicks in).

I can take down 2-3 drakes at once with this build, so long as I'm watching where I'm going. Still, you can get nasty surprises like five rockshots burrowing up under you at once. For rockshots, just run until they stop following. Then target one and start degening it, maintaining your strafe and kite tactics. It will hit you with Distracting Shot when you try to cast, however, but after that you have an 8-second window to slap more hexes on it until its Distracting Shot refreshes. Always watch out for where they lay their traps. Unhappy things happen if you step into one.

And I just find casting Crippling Anguish on drakes hilarious.

There's a 55HP solo Mesmer build:
Illusionary Weaponary
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Sympathetic Visage
Power Drain
Balthazar's Spirit
Mending
Essence Bond

Max Illusion,Healing Prayers high enough to give you a +7 regen Healing Breeze and the rest in Inspiration.

I didn't come up with this build, credit goes to Avarre, a poster on these forums.

have fun farming the Griffons

say hello to the Queen for me....

been meaning to try Avarre's build it looks killer and all the feedback ive seen has been good...i say that this is the direction to go in, but jciardha's build looks real good, and not as touchy as 55 builds usually are, not to mention the 55 build has to have mo 2ndry and jciardha's looks to be just mesmer skills...

For mesmer pride and purity, obviously dciardha's build is nicer

Mine can take much more on at once, and more consistantly, however it isn't really a mass-farming build. I say this because IW is very point-damage, making it devastating on single, large targets (Aatxes anyone?). This makes it superb in UW, capable of taking on smites, terrorwebs, etc...

As for mass-nonUW-farming, I use something along the lines of:

Prot Spirit
Healing Breeze
Mantra of Resolve
Shield of Judgement {E}
Arcane Echo
Essence Bond
Balthazar's Spirit
Mending

12 smite
8 prot
8 heal
5 + 1 + 3 insp
2 + 3 fast cast

This is better, imho, for trolls, hydras, griffons etc... anything with a large number. Its impossibly slow against aatxes, but outside the UW this is stronger (so long as you're taking range/melee enemies). Basics is same, though 9 inspiration for a -6 resolve (I mainly use this for avicara, and savage slash sucks).
