u equip them and watch for bonuses :P such as a +hp while in a stance shield will give u extra hp if u equip it and use a stance

But i imagine determing the difference between 15^50 and 14^50 could get quite tricky.

Hmm..well i tried that with a couple of UnID Fellblades i bought for 25k...one was req 9 and the other was req 10...i got 2 dmg on both of them...but one was icy adn the other was fiery...the req 10 ended up being 15^50 and the req 9 ended up being 15<50....so yeah...ill just give up.
