just started playing so here goes:
can you hire more than 1 of the same type of henchman? like 2 monks for example...
what do runners do for you? i see people offering to run to a new location for gold...
is there a place to buy new weapons?
can you un-train skills to get skill points back?
thanks!
oh yeah, can i have more than 4 people in a party to do quests, etc...

To your first question, yes, you can hire more than one type of henchmen, but they will have different names like Stephan (Fighter Henchman) and Little Thom (Brawler Henchman)
To your second question, runners are exactly that. They run you to places, so you dont have to fight all the way there
To your third question, yes, there are NPC's that make weapons. I dont know where they are, though
To your fourth question, no, not that i know of

i dont advise this cos it spoils the game if this is your first time. just play like it was ment to be played.

To unlock skills u either win them by doing quests or u can buy them from NPC trainers.

There is a Weaponsmith in each major town. I suggest not crafting a weapon from him, as you will undoubtedly get a better weapon from any collector in your area. Talk to all collectors!!! They're everywhere.
The only reason to go to the Weaponsmith (hold down ALT key in Ascalon City to find him, he's near the Armor guys), is to customize weapons, giving you +20% damage.

ok, now that i know you can hire more than one of the same type of henchman, how do i do that? currently i'm in pitkin and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to hire 2 stefan's! lol thanks for the info!

Hehe... No... Each henchman you hire in a town is unique unto themselves. The multiples of a type of henchman are just that, in later areas of the game you will see two different henchman standing together that are of the same class. As someone else stated, the further you get in the game, the more apparent this will become.

You can have only one of each type of henchmen(brawler, fighter, healer, protecter, ect). However it is possible to have two henchmen who are warriors(yaks bend on), and two henchmen who are monks(not exactly sure where you first get lina).
Runners can take you to places that you would usualy have to fight to. Runners can also take you to areas that you would normaly not be able to get to until much later in the game, an example being the drocknars forge run, grotto run, or citadel run.
Running is usualy used by people who have played the game through at least one time around, due to the fact it costs money, and it also spoils the game(your first time around anyway).
You can buy new weapons from players almost anywhere, usualy district one of all major citys will have plenty of people selling weapons. You can get weapons from a NPC weapon crafter also, but they charge you a good amount for somthing you can usualy get from a collector. Collectors will give you weapons and other items in exchange for items you get off monsters. www.guildwiki.org has an exelent list of collectors, they also have a list of all weapon and armor crafters.
You can't un-learn a skill. Once you have learned it, you're stuck knowing it. If you need more skill points I suggest completing more missions, or trying to level up.
