warkst

Aera

Valerius

Head_Damage
ive had my vote keep em
fiery
O gee gee should have revised ya old post title and adding a poll, and no these would never leave.
Sergio Leone
Why would these be taken out of the game?
The_Janitor
What the hell kind of a question is this.

Stupidest question ever.

Just to let the OP know that the rune trader was added at a later patch after the game was out.

Without them I'd have to stand around in town for hours spamming "WTS" to get rid of runes and dyes from drops. Or, "WTB" if I wanted some.
Keep the traders.
Keep the traders.
Aeris Gainsboroughe
Yea, I use both traders alot. So of course I want them to stay.
Sagius Truthbarron
Yah, I feel like standing around for 3 days yelling "WANT TO BUY ORANGE DYE" only to get "10k?" from Fung Pao Ni Long.
I vote for Weapon Upgrade Trader (even though this has nothing to do with it :P).

Only a farmer would want them removed, and they only get half votes.
VGJustice
These vendors were added to keep farmers from cheating players and to make the game more accesable. Leave them in.
Heck, I'd even like to see a trader for weapon mods.

I would say keep it in so you can sell like a Superior Strength for a few hundred gold w/o standing in town for an hour trying to sell. They make your life a lot easier in my opinion.
*weapon upgrade traders would lower the upgrade's value and would piss traders off a lot I think.
EDIT: ANet could put a weapon upgrade trader to regulate the prices so that Sundering wasn't so damn expensive because it IS crap.

Diablo???
I think the voters have already spoken: Keep em both.
warkst
Yea, okay, it's obvious
Guardian of the Light
hmmm 6 for removing and over 60 for keeping.
think the people have spoken.

i just cant see the logic for this, imagine trying out new dye combos if you had to have them drop for you, scarey
TideSwayer
Nothing wrong with the dye or rune traders. Do you realize how much runes used to sell for before the rune traders were implemented?
I do think ANet needs to revisit some of the Artisan crafting formulas though. Some of the rare materials cost more to craft by hand than they do just to buy the damn things from a Rare trader. (Steel ingots, I'm looking at YOU.)

You were not here when there were no rune traders. People would jack prices up because you dunno what the things are worth.
And people like me who play only when there is free time cant be bothered to go spend massive amounts of time just to check prices every 10 minutes.

If there were no dye/rune traders i need to spam chat for some silly minor rune or dye for 10min.
Tsunami Rain
It would make sense to remove the dye trader. I believe that dyes shouldnt cost 75-6.5k for what purpose..? chaning the color of your armor? having dyes not npc regulated would mean that prices would go down for such a trivial item. The rune npc on the other hand is needed. It is important that the rune-trade is strictly regulated as it is a vital part of the game (unlike dyes which are ment to be pleasing to the eye and shouldn't cost much in the first place). Just my input on the situation. flame away.
--edit--
however I must add that for the removal of the dye trader to be possible, the merchant will have to raise the dye price (at least to 50g and not more than 200g).
--edit (again)--
It would also make sense that dye removers would be cheaper than the dyes itself. I mean..come on...thats just logical.

I love the dye traders. whenever u cant fid anyone who doesnt want to buy a black dye sell it to trader for 5.5k. i also like the rune traders because who would go around and say want to buy minor rune of strength when they could go to the rune trader.
Count to Potato
I always get materials from farming but dyes and runes i dont feel like getting them form others or myelf

What kind of question is this?
Free-market...might as well make a post about whether there should be an auction house or not. Rune traders and dye traders make everyone's life easier (except maybe the merchants who would make killings by selling Sup Vigors at over-inflated prices).

As a D2X veteran i can tell you that traders in GW are THE solution of getting rid of the "free market" that screwed up D2X. i still have small trauma's of the sellbots entering games and spamming their sellingsites ingame.
removing the traders will mean that black dye or Super rune will be a near impossible item to get for a reasonable price, unless you are willing to farm for it 24/7 and either find it yourself or pay an unrealistic price.
having a trade "mediator" like traders will give players a realistic value to base their price on when trading....
