Please don't listen to the the post that tells you to salvage it, that's just plain wrong...
Golds are worth much more than collector's, for the reason of rarity alone.
A staff like this I could see fetching 100k or more in an auction. Insure it for 150k...
Argh...too much Antiques Roadshow isn't a good thing...

ppl should really know by now (and if you don't yet, here's a tip) that the little things (like high req, 1% off perfect, etc) don't really matter much at all when it comes to practical use, but they make a world of difference when it comes to trading.
(of course, if you're rich, you can afford to be fussy when you're paying for perfection

OK so it is blood modded instead of curses, still a collector item as someone said.
All these people figuring it is worth a lot because it is gold obviously do not see all the gold stuff dropping all the time out of chests that have similar requirements and similar double mods.
IMO when a collector staff has better mods and can be upgraded it is worth more than gold these days simply because the market is flooded with trash. NOW if were 8 requirment, and double perfect modded it would be worth something.
With so many double perfects out there now it does matter. Especially when there is a collector staff that gives the same mods , but a diferent req. But to be of "practical" use, then someone would have to have at least a 9 req in blodd, and enough blood spells in their bar to make it just as "practical" to use the collector staff. If not, then this staff is useless.
If there wasn't a collectors staff available then maybe it might be worth something. But no where near 75K.
But all these guys PCing for that, I have a ton of staffs with 8 & 9 Req with perfect mods with same class magic second mod for sale. All you can eat for 20K. One is even a 9 divine with a 10 universal cast and an 18 smite recharge and it came with a +5 armor head and +28 wrap. I tried to sell it to someone for 10K and they laughed. (I use that because it is similar to this one in mods). But I have about 10 or so with a perfect universal mod and 16+ to a specific magic, that basically I can't give away.
The thing is with that staff, the only person who wouldn't know any better doesn't have themoney to pay for it in the first place. So overcharging him isn't going to work. He also probably isn't "smart" enough to "know" that looks are better
, so he would probably opt for a collector staff anyways. And the second part is that people that "think" it is worth 80-90. KNOW they could get a lower required 10/10 universal (which is much better) for a lot less than that (if they opted for green), or even a gold one for not a heck of a lot more than 100K, and if they can afford 100K, then they can probably afford 150-175.
As for the second one, I merchant stuff better than that everyday.

Quick question What would you PAY for a staff like that?
I would pay 5k for it tops, and only because of the wrap. If I got it I would throw it on a collectors staff. Or try to sell it outright to someone who would "settle" for a 17%, and they probably wouldn't pay 5K for it either. So at 5k I would think I was being generous.
When I can get a better collectors staff for free (about 5 minutes of hydra killing) I surely won't spend on a mishmashed staff like that. Just like YOU wouldn't either.
