A -1 energy regen weapon
Darrian Dacorath
Ok... I love my 15% always Choas Axe to death... and I know he is a gimp, but I still love him... Summery: -1 energy regen hurts.
What is everyones take on attaching a Zealous Haft to it... that is what I did, and I now have zero regen, but I still get a nice flow of energy. But, zero regen
What does everyone else put on their -1 energy regen weapons, is the zealous thing a good/ bad idea?
*This thread is not for you to say, "Dude, get rid of your -1 energy regen weapon, those suck noob..." I realize that, but you can't beat a cheap weapon

What exactly are you trying to say?

Keep it. Keep the Zealous. Damage all the time is very good, but 15^50 is better IMO. Were I you, I'd keep it and slap on (or keep) Zealous, as it will net you more (or the same?) energy as your 2 base regen.

Your best bet is to keep you axe the way it is and use a zealous swap. Either way for an axe war stance is much much better.
Inureface
Good thing it was an axe and not hammer or sword. The attribute line of str and axe mastery allow you to go all adrenaline with minimal loss in DPS, if any.
Diablo???
Dude, get rid of your -1 energy regen weapon, those suck noob...
haha, just kidding pal. -1 for 15% dmg is great, as long as you have your energy under control you may benefit more from that bonus than anyone else can. your zealous mod and bonetti can keep your energy flow going, use mostly andrenal skills and you're all set, if not you can always swap weapons and allow your energy to recharge.

For warriors, -1 energy isn't that bad. Unless your running a Gale Knockdown build or something, especially now that it was nerfed to have a higher energy Req.
I know you love your 15% Always Axe to death, and a 15^50 would be a lot more...but you should consider getting a 14^50 Chaos Axe. It's only 1% less and it's a lot cheaper.
If you put a Zealous on it, you'll have no energy to use any skills unless you attack someone. Think about it though, 1% more damage for 1 less energy pip (considering that the extra damage is only while HP is above 50%...) isn't the best.
But, whatever floats your boat. Some people in-game use a 1/1 Vamp. Sword in RA. Yes, 1/1. That's how to die for no reason, but w/e it's just RA and some random fun. If you want it, get it.

Wouldn't a Furious mod make his adrenaline builds better?
Seef II
Yeah, but it's a furious mod. Aka, not good and prohibitively expensive. Thumbs down to furious.
SaintGreg
I agree, if you like it and you don't want to spend money on a new one, keep it.
But:
is just wrong. -1 energy regen is the absolute worst damage modifier for a warrior. Warriors only get 2 pips, and any warrior build will be better with more energy. You'd get more energy for attack boosters, more energy for any energy attacks if you have them, etc. I would even take -1 hp regen over -1 energy regen, although thats probably the second worst. -5 energy is probably the best, although >50% and stance are pretty good too.
Because of adrenaline warriors can still function if they have no energy, but doing it on purpose...

15>50 is really the best, from my experience. 15 in a stance isn't so good for warriors, because you definitely won't be in a stance all the time. If you are getting spiked, you don't want to keep attacking anyway, you want to run back and get healed by your monks.
Most of the time, your health is going to be above 50%, so 15>50 is about as efficient as you can get.

Personally I can see where having zero energy regen with no Gladiators could become a problem. But if your running a Warrior equiped with Gladiators, then unless (as stickyballs mentioned) you're running a Glae or Shock warrior you shouldn't have a problem.
As a PvP Axe Warrior I always stay away ffrom having 2 energy regen and gladiators, because I don't think that kindof energy is needed. No energy regen could work just as well, so long as you aren't the flag runner, or some other build type that requires using energy skills/spells often when you are not hitting a target.
