How do I get past charm breaks?

I just started a ranger/Mesmer, and i was trying to charm one of the bears but it kept on breaking my charm. Is there anyway around it?

nope but you can charm bears once you get to beacons pearch just travel south into lomars pass and head to the far southern part of the zone and you will find a bear if you live long enough .

You can charm the bears. I made a thread of what you need to do even.
