i made my 55 monk as soon as possible went to elona and my 1st drop was a black dye!
then me bro had a go with his 55 and got a black dye
what luck i havent seen 1 since LOL but im trying
my bro also got a gold flamberge req 10 but still it was 13^50

i hate trolls best thing i ever got is a fellblade 11-21-req 10 i sold it to merch

Me thinks you can farm dyes outside ascalon quicker since they drop anywhere... found two there just going from level 7 to 9. Reason to farm a higher level mob is for some actual items I would think.

I think Elona is primarily an xp farming zone. Buy scrolls from the merchant, enter the mission and kill all the minotaurs, exit/die, rinse and repeat.

Yup, I get around 36-39k of Experience per hour of farming Elona Reach. My monk has 4.4 million experience so far, but it's still going up. I've just been farming less.

if you're planning on 55hp farming i suggest UW or the hydra's outside augury, and take some keys with you

wars. do this just as fast.. and easy and cheaper.. 55's are getting nerfed and everyone has one.. and doesnt go uw ( wasnt that why they were made?)
