best elite for ranger?

Hi i am a lvl 20 ranger that uses traps a lot. I also pin and poison my enemies to and have high expertise and wilderness survival. I was wondering if anyone could help me out by telling me the best elite skill that would be best for me and where i could find it. Ty

Well the 3 most choosen elites for rangers are probably:

1) Barrage - You shoot 5 arrows at the same time, highly spammable... It works really good in combination with a Enchantment... but since it wont allow preparations i dont think its that good for your current buiild

2) Incendiary Arrows - For 8 seconds, your arrows interrupt and set your target 'On Fire' for 1~3 seconds.... it can be nice the degen is nice too, but its kind of short and the cooldown is huge (24 seconds)... this is a preparation btw...

3) Poisen Arrow - Its just like Apply Poisen, just that you dont apply it to all arrows for 24 seconds, but just to 1 arrow... Its much cheaper, lasts longer, has no preparation time, but you have to reuse it everytime the enemy removes it, whereas with apply poison you jsut shoot a new arrow...

I just cought Poisen Arrow myself yesterday, it really easy to capture as its on a Grunt in Witmans Folly i think (area below Droknars Forge), with a party of henchmen you can easily get it... Search for a Grunt boss named PipPip...

I think that as trapper, the lasts suits you best.

Or since you are a trapper you could go for the elite trap, but seen the stats i say Barbed Traps is about as good, without using an elite slot...

however i was thinking maybe oath shot becasue i never seem to go short of energy. Anyone know where i can find it?

Oath Shot can be captured from

* Perfected Cloak (Thunderhead Keep)
* Cairn The Relentless (Abaddon's Mouth)

Spike Trap is invaluable as a trapper... it's cheap and acts as a ghetto interrupt / aoe knockdown if needed. Also good as a snare while you're waiting for Barbed to cycle [yeah, I know, Oath Shot, but it can miss and changing weapons (if you're an R/W) / acquiring new targets for it is a hassle]

so where do i get spike trap?

Vulg Painbrain [ettin boss] in Ring of Fire. He's just before the first lava river you have to cross... best way to capture the skill is just stay out of combat and wait for him to use it, then have everyone capture. He DOES use it mid-combat, but it's rare...

How skills can be captured? Or can be even?

to capture skills use signet of capture

marksmans wager isnt bad either you get in elona from the green ranger custodian forgot his name =/

i recommend 2 elite skills, poison arrow and melandru's arrow.

i use 1 elite, because i only have 1 :P
Marksmens Wager, and im looking to get either Melandru's Arrow or Barrage next. but cant decide.
