What were you doing just before the rollback?

I checked through some recent posts and unless I've missed it, I don't think this was specifically asked yet.

I do a podcast called GuildCast (www.guildcast.com) and this week I want to do one on players and their stories of what they've lost or have to do over again because of the rollback this last weekend. For example, I had a guildie friend who had just capped a difficult Elite, and now has to do it all over again.

If I could get some people to respond to this thread, telling their story, I may use some of them on my show, so be prepared for that. And be sure to let me know if you want your in-game named used or not. Thanks!

Standing 100 deep at rune trader filling all available slots with Superior Runes.

I live in australia so i slept through the whole thing. when i got on the next day, they had already announed they were rolling back the servers. when we could back on, nothing on my char had changed.

I was at the rare materials trader loading up on shards. They stack, runes don't.

If you took the time to observe it was really quite funny. First, this stream of toons pouring into town and heading for Merchant's Row. And with the huge crowds milling around the traders it reminded me of the stock exchange floor. ****waiting for the closing bell -****

I was solo'ing Glint with my mesmer. It was a hard fought battle, and my nice 15k clothes got torn a bit, back and forth the battle raged spell vs counter and eventually she was down to her last hit point, but I had run out of energy and had no heals left! Actually I didn't have any heals at all, but with my dying breath I attacked with my cane to finish her off and clicked and..... d'oh! Now she has to be killed all over again.

I had just got to the Granite Citadel after battling my way from the Iron Mines with my new warrior.

To say that I was a little miffed would be an understatement.

But I do understand the need, the last thing I, or anyone else would want is for the sup runes to double in price because they had all been bought up.

I was stuck after the end of thunderhead keep cutscene, yelling about how despite having completed the mission, and earning the right to go to ember light camp, I'm being forced to do it again before I can move on.

I was running a guildie from Gates of Kryta to Lion's Arch.

Most embarrassingly I failed, due to forgetting I had a skillbar full of crap.

So, that never happened now, right?

Perhaps now you can learn to do it the easy way, with henchies

I had stopped playing GW becuase I was depresed after losing 3k to FoW solo runs.

I was bought a rare gold max sundering crytsalline +30 health req 7 when they did the roll back

I was attempting to log on, then, attempting to make the others understand why a rollback is good...

I was not even on, but i'm so mad at Anet because i had to id the purple bow i found one more time!

Helping guildies through Dragons Lair. For one of the guildies it was his 2nd time, he had err=7 the first try. We were a little hesistant to start the 3rd try for him yesterday, we got through alright tho

And after that stocking up on shards/black dye and runes till they locked the game and did the rollback. Boy did it seem like christmas :P

I got dropped a max gold dwarven req 7 15 over 50

but it got rolled back =O

Buying runes and loading up the mules.

well i was in Random Arena and jsut finished unlocking all my mods when i heard someone mention the traders reset...i promptly bought Sup Vigor runes for all my armors and superior runes for all my head armors ^^ and 120 shards >.>;;

When i went to switch characters to apply my new runes, i got disconnected because of the beginning of the rollback.

I was playing my recently-ascended R/Me. Did Dragon's Lair for the mesmer elite skill cap (just for the unlock, already had the ranger one). Did the beginning of Dunes, again to unlock the mesmer elite. Did a couple other elite unlocks in the S. Shiverpeaks. Did Thunderhead Keep with henchies (LOL the easy & reliable way to do THK). Talked to the King only to get locked up with the error 13 message. I didn't buy a single thing at any traders. Kept checking back until I found out about the rollback. Got extremely angry about Anet's apparent inability to reset goods/gold without also resetting missions/quests/unlocks, but decided not to bother flaming about it. Played Mech4 instead of GW.

Logged in the next day to find that character back at Dragon's Lair. So after work I did THK again with henchies, then helped a guildie with some earlier missions. I still have to re-grind all the elite skill unlocks I did previously.

Okay, I keep seeing this. I just arrived at Thunderhead Keep for the first time, and plan to try the mission tonight. I take it I should just grab henchies instead of trying to group?

On topic: I was at work. I couldn't play at all that night, but otherwise wasn't affected by the rollback.
