leaving an animal companion?

Just started playing GuildWars. This is best game i've played for YEARS! One problen still appeared.

I have tamed my self an animal and now i would like to leave it and tame another. How can i leave my old animal companion?

you need to talk to tamer jarrel. you can find him next to ranger nente at the beginning of tyhe regent river basin, or you can find him right outside the city in old ascalon after the searing.

once the world goes boom there is a guy outside ascalon city (master ranger nente). Just go and talk to hime and the pet is gone, *POOF*
