Game Suggestion-Any real Benifits?? adding PVP kill Points will make game more fun

I see something missing in the game.... it is points for killing in pvp. There should be special reasons for people to fight in pvp. I like pvp so much and this game advertises it so much but there is no real benifit to fighting other players. For each person a player kills, he should get points to do special things that no one else can do. This game lacks this kind of reward system, and because i chose this game to buy, i feel almost cheated because no one enjoys pvp as much as i do, eventhough the game advertises pvp as half of the gaming experience.

While that might work, I have a feeling if they add anything like that, it'll just push this game towards WoW or something lame like that where pvp is nothing more than a grind. If Anet introduces something like this to the game, I guarantee you will find even more faction/pvp farmers and it will just be a game of escalation, who can grind more and get the better rewards first etc.

...you get faction for killing things in PvP. You get fame for winning battles in HA. You get a better guild rating (and thus usually rank as well) for winning GvG battles. As for "doing things others can't" there's the /rank emote (and I'm fairly certain the nifty gold trimmed cape would fall in this category, even if it's something you get not something you do). If you want something you can do that no one else can that has any kind of impact on the battle, tough luck. Its anethema to the spirit of GW, which is an even playing field for everyone.
For crying out loud, there's a huge cash prize involved in the World Championship which is again PvP.
I don't think this game has any lack of rewards for PvP, especially since the PvP in itself is a reward as few MMO-type games have the kind of level playing field that GW offers.

I think we have a lot of PvP incentives, as others have already pointed out.
Although, i have an idea that kinda ties in with the idea of "customized names" for weapons.
Idea: Anet lets us customize our weapons, when we customize it, it gets a custom name ie: Yachiru Kusajishii's Zealous Battlepick of Defense.
Idea that ties in with that:
If you lose in PvP, a copy of your weapon drops and someone in the opposing party gets it. Kind of like a trophy for killing you. They can use it like a regular weapon and sell it, etc but they cant mod it (since it was pre-customized).
I mean...wouldnt it be cool to have a weapon from famous players in your possesion? "I'm wielding Power of My Ranger's Sundering Hornbow of Fortitude" etc.
Hows that for an incentive?

Player 1: "Hey look I got a drop!"
Player 2: "HEY! GET BACK HERE! What are you doing getting that in the middle of the battle!?"

So its a bit extreme but thats most likely how it'd happen...
So with that idea either extend the time after battle so they can pick up the drops or make it auto appear in inventory.

I want pvp points that can excel my pvp experience, that you can only get from pvp.
Imagine with me.... you kill someone and you get points... you use them to buy or save for higher level skills... skills like instant mana recharge, health recharge, come back to life one time, double hit, insta casts for wizards, insta disrupt a toon, um the list can run on, .. but i personally i dont see a need for customizing a weapon besides making it stronger personally.
To add a point... i think we need a mass chat forum in game for sales.. or like WoW has and add an auction house so ppl dont have to spam goods on a screen that only stays on your screen for 6 seconds!

Plz stop trying to change this wonderfully balanced and beaugtiful game and trying to make it something like *sigh* World of Warcrap, Where the pvp sucks and becouse of how bad it is they had to add some rewards to it so someone would do it.
Here in Guild Wars we get faction pts, Fame and after a few fame pts we gain a Rank we dont get crazy equipment depending on the rank like in wow but what we get is to get into better groups, and after some wins in Hoh you might get an item.
The PvP here is really good like it is I like the rewards, dont change it a bit, I left wow hoping that I would never have to expirience something as horribly boring again dont bring it here.
