yes, buy a ce and apply the key to your old account.

don't expect more slots though, or it being cheap, you'll still pay the full price as if you had applid it seperately.

Also, make sure the key has never been used (IE, you're buying a brand new collector's edition) if you can get lucky enough to find one that way without breaking the bank.

And yes, I know "selling" or "trading" accounts is against ToS, so save the flame-job, just wanted to make sure he didn't waste his money on something he couldn't apply to his "main" account.

Well here's the thing about this.

(My theory out the window.)

from Support Page: "Adding a Collector's Edition Access Key to a Standard Edition account will give the account access to the special in-game feature, the Divine Aura. However, adding additional access keys to an account will not free up any keys that were previously used to establish the account. Once a key is associated with an account, it cannot be removed from that account."

Though someone at gwonline posted today about this and seems to be now getting a code=105.

So, now why is it happening...

The mod at gwonline suggested email Anet/support about it.

If you havent done the key-merging, I too would suggest ask and get an official answer before you do it. (even if it's said in support page.)

Yeah, nobody has risked their money trying to do this thus far. Course Bill Gates can do it like he was dropping a penny. But then again, he doesn't play GW does he...?
