I have a new build that is totally new from the others, my build can practically handle a LARGE group of ettin's if applied correctly. This is an AXE build
Step 1:
You'll need good armor. I recommend a gladiators armor from Droknars Forge or the glads from Mahrans Grotto (South of Thunderhead Keep). You can rune them whatever you like. My setup is full Grotto glads, with an glads armor from Droknars Forge with an Superior Axe Mastery rune in it (This is NOT required though, but it is handy) Don't ask me about this :P
Step 2:
You can find Gypsie Ettins, the creatures that we are farming, just east of Beetletun (which is near Temple of the Ages). The reason we are farming them are the RUNES that the drop, actually the Pauldrons with the runes in them.
Step 3:
Skills! This is the most important part, read carefully!
1: Flurry
2: Disrupting Chop
3: Penetrating Blow
4: DEFY PAIN {E}
5: Sprint
6: Vigorous Spirit
7: Live Vicariously
8: Balthazar's Spirit
1: Main chopping skill, with 10 + 12 health from every blow, this is your main "heal". Never keep it down!!
2: Healing Signet blocking skill, only use for that purpose. (With Flurry on you wouldn't have to have a trigger finger!)
3: The attack skill, use when possible, the damage dealer
4: ALWAYS keep Defy Pain up, with 4/5 Ettins bashing you, you'd love to have some more health and armor.
5: Use to get past the creatures you find first bla bla
6: Always have this skill on, 10 health every chop (At 10 healing)
7: Always have this skill on, 12 health every chop (At 10 healing)
8: Always have this skill on, 1 energy and adrenaline every hit.
Step 4:
My attributes, I have the following setup:
Healing Prayers: 10
Strenght: 8+2=10 (Mine is helm and a minor rune but feel free to use other)
Axe Mastery: 12+3=15 (Superior Axe Mastery Rune)
Reason for the high Axe Mastery is that this build relies on dealing damage with not good attack skills, every point in Axe Mastery is needed!
The Tactic:
First, leave beetletun and start running towards the east. When you get attacked the first time, use sprint. When you get to a narrow section, there will be 2 guys waiting. Use sprint when encountered and run past them. (If the Ettins are already near that piece, run straight past the Ettins and sprint away from them untill you have lost them.) Now its time to put up the spells. Balthazars Spirit first, then Live Vicariously. Now you are ready. When you lure some of the Ettins, cast Vigorous Spirit. Now use flurry and NEVER keep it down. When possible use Defy Pain and Penetrating Blow. Use Disrupting Chop to block their healing signets. (Is a must since this build doesn't deal THAT much damage)
