there are 2 separate and different preorders.

the standard is you are simply reserving acopy of the game for when it is released.

the one on the GW site is a separate preorder boc with those things in it .

contact your seller to make sure which you ordered and switch if necessary.

you want the preorder box to use by march 24 not the april 28 game release box

Okay, you get the codes in the Preorder Box. This is a small DVD-esque Case. This includes a little pamphlet that has all the codes for the game (March 24th Beta, and Pre-Release Game day, with some various other codes for friends). The box also has little goodies to hopefully keep you slightly preocupied while waiting for the release. As for where to preorder, many game stores, such as Gamestop and EB Games have a policy where you put a certain ammount of money as a down payment ($5 or so) and they give you the box on the spot.

Hope this helps.

You're going to want to talk to Amazon, you need the preorder box to get all your goodies... It has a booklet of keys for you and your friends.... Factions can be a stand alone or in addition to Prophecies, but you must have the key from Factions to play Factions. We got our boxes from EB games, they were the only venders to carry it around here.... Get in touch with Amazon though, I'd hate for you to miss out on the preview event!

Free weekend thing leads me to think you're talking about the PVE weekend, March 24-26. If so, then you don't need any other codes if you already have Guild Wars.

I'm about to do the same thing and I think I know where you went wrong Sissy. When checking out Amazon defaults to "group my items to ship at the same time". If you do that you'll notice both items ship april 28th. If you select "ship items as they become available" Factions ship on April 28, and the pre-order disk ships immediatly... you need that pre-order package as that has your codes.

You also have to make sure you have both the game and the pre-order disc in your cart or you will only get the game.

Yeah. I pre-ordered from Amazon & was waiting for my bonus disc. I re-checked my order status & there was a separate box I forgot to select for the bonus disc. You also had to select "ship these items as they become available", or else they will hold the bonus disc & ship it when the Factions disc is released. Even then the estimated date I would receive the game disk was May 10th. I think the special access key on the bonus disk only lasts for 48 hours or something like that, so I would only be able to play for that short time & then have to wait until the 10th of May to get my official cd key. I just cancelled my order & am going to pre-order from a local store where I can just go pick it up. It would be a travesty playing for a day or two, then not being able to log back in for an entire week! 

I bought the preorder from EBGames, it came with a CD, keyboard layout and a booklet with a pile of different keys.
I thought there was supposed to be access to a special item. Maybe I should read the booklet.
