Guild Wars Factions: Can't get the items!

I ordered the game, a day later I got sent the pre-order key via e-mail.

When logging in to my account, I did the following:

Edit account, manage keys, add new key ---> then input my key code.

I got a message saying: Key code accepted, congrats or something along those lines

I checked back on the keys entered and I have the factions one underneath the Guild Wars one (same box, dont know if its supposed to be different)

When logging onto a character, with lots of invent space, and typing /preorder, nothing happens.

I have absolutely no idea what to do, even my friends who have done the same as me, and bought from the same place do not have this problem.

I have contacted GW and been informed my question is in a queue. Does ANYONE have ideas? It's been like 2 hours now... and still nothing

Only idea I can possibly have is 1. check it was the preorder key and not the friend or 'real' key you entered and 2. make sure you're in town when you /preorder.

It's been working fine for me as well ... *shrug* make sure it's the right key, as I know mine came with umpteen of them ...

Did you type /preorder in a town/outpost or a pve area? If you did the second than it will not work, you must be in a town/outpost to use the /preorder command.

You should be able to go into options and go to the area that lets you add a key. Then check there (before or after you put in a key can't remember) and there will be two windows that say all the extras you have added to your account.

Example: factions preoder, or collectos edition, and it will have core set or something on those lines. Make sure it says you have the preorder to factions on there. If not then there is something wrong with the key you received.

It does say freind key, however underneath (in the email)it gives instructions on how to do it, and it says that you get the "special" items with the key...

On the game in the content rights section it says i have:

Guild Wars: Prophecies (Guild Wars Core Set)
Guild Wars Factions Preview Event (March 24-26,2006)

Also I sent the problem to GW and after one pointless message notifying me that i was "in a queue" I received another cryptic reply:

Are you typing /preorder into the chat box?

yes, im doing the same thing everyone else has done, the game recognises its an action/emote because it does NOTHING, this is really annoying

...there should be a second area that says:

You have added the following extra features to your account:
-Factions Campaign Preorder Items

If it doesn't say that for you, then odds are you put in the wrong key, or entered it incorrectly. If it DOES say that you've added the preorder items, then I really don't know, as it's working fine for me. :/

I think that you added friend key to your account, not the pre order key. Recheck your email. there will be 2 keys, one for you and one for your friend. The friend key is for Preview Event only.

hmmm ok, i have found that i have put a friend key in by mistake, however i have received no other key.

I must say u guys r much more help than NCsoft.

Maybe another e-mail will be sent containing the factions items key code?
