I heard about this item being exchanged at the collector near the Hydras in Dragon's Gullet. Is it worth getting, or is the damage too low?

It's got the forked sword skin, not the spatha skin.

Same skin. Just as Tribal Blade is to Falchion and Short Sword is to Gladius.

Btw, sword is really useless. Crap sword w/ cool name.

The "cool" thing about GW is that 1 skin can have several different names

only use for the plasma blade is really control + click on weapon, and then watch people's reactions. Afterward, switch to another weapon and go on as normal.

I was being sarcastic, which is why i quoted "cool".

One thing I'm not too fond of in GW is the repetition between weapons. A bit off topic, but it would be cool to have unique skins among weapons, especially green items. Some, of course already are unique, like Rago's staff.

the Sorrow's Furnace update added new green skins that most people haven't really figured out yet. some people haven't noticed, but Drago's Flatbow is actually a new skin, technically. it's a gigantic Composite bow skin, but the fact that there isn't another bow like it in the game sets it apart. Brohn's Staff and Kepkhet's Refuge are all new skins.

but then again, those are green items, so it doesn't really count, in a way.

anyway, the link for the Shocking Plasma Blade:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ashram_Fenn/Collector

a little more specific:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Plasma_Blade

a spatha/forked sword skin (which is ugly imo) with a 10% in stance....spiffy.

Worthless item, it's shocking plasma blade by the way(lightning damage modifier). Only use is to impress noobs. Sortof like the fake crystalline sword, and serpent axe you get in presearing, and the fake dwarven axe you get from one of those quests in the northern shiverpeaks.

A dwarven axe looks really good BTW.

And fot the plasma blade:
The name is pretty cool but that's about it. The stats aren't good, the dmg s*cks. As other ppl said before me it's cool to impress noobs with it. You can use it in Ascalon though, works great there.

Yeah, I agree, dwarven and serpent axes are sweet looking. But I prefer low req(7-9) non-green perfect(15^50, stance, en-5, ect and 20<50), weapons much much more as they are functional, although I dont like the -1 energy regen/1 health degen

There has been interest in the Shocking Plasma Blade recently. It's noting special, but people just seem to be interested because of the name. Some people don't even believe it exists while others think it's been removed from the game. Well, I just got back from Dragon's Gullet and the SPB is alive and well. I've posted a map to where the collector is. As you can see, I took the long way around. Also below is a pic of the blade and it's stats. You need three Scar Behemoth Jaws.

I think that those different names were BOTH to have a similar but powerful weapon later on. AND I notice that Anet often does this as a placeholder for new skins later on.

What I find odd is that it's the only "Plasma blade" in the whole game.

*idlely wonders if they'll show up in Cantha.*
