Never would guess I'm a NOOB, by that question, would you? Keep reading here a about pre and post-searing - BUT Search yields me NO clue as to even what searing is - and I cannot find a Glossary [that would be NICE].
Will someone please tell me what this is?

Swearing is when the Charr attack/cities burn down. It happens to you in-game after you talk to Sir Tydus and join the academy.

When you go to the Academy, it`s 2 years before you return to Ascalon. The Charr sear it, burn it out.

Actually I believe Swearing is what you do when your Pick-up Group is full of people who just don't want to work together as a team. Searing is what you described.

Swearing is what I do when I've died for the 4th time in a row because the party leader decided not to bring a primary monk and is expecting me to kill monsters and heal people.
