I saw the posts for the new armor, but is that for Factions or the Core Set? If it's for the Core Set, when is it going to be added?

Your question is a bit confusing.
It is a Factions armor, for a "core" profession (in this case warrior). Warriors created in Factions or in Cantha via linked accounts from Prophecies will have access to this armor when Factions is released.
You will be able to see it and maybe even craft it next weekend in the preview event though!

Well, that's what I thought, but there are some players who still have A/R from the first Beta Weekend, so maybe it'll stay.

They can't use any assassin skills so it's a useless character.

Yes, but what skills does the Armor have? None. Unless they remove the armor increase, i think Sentinel armor will stay.

most probably itll be you cannot put it on after the factions preview ends. however, as for the people still wearing it who havent taken it off,
a) they will begin to smell
b) it will probably revert to 0 AL

Doubt youll be able to get it during the preview event: its an Assassin and Ritualist only PvE affair, if I remember correctly, in which you will be unable to use existing characters, and after which the characters created for the event will be deleted.
Ans since its a Factions armour, you will need to buy Factions to use it after release.

Oh well. Guess I'll wait until April 28th then. Shame, though. It would have made very good Runner armor.

The PvP Factions Beta was for Sins and Rits only (nothing was unlocked for the core classes), I would expect The PvE event would be the same.
