No sound with axes?

I was playing last night and I realized that when I hit with an axe attack, it sounded like I missed (the swoosh sound). This is driving me crazy, I've reinstalled the game, ran a diognastics with my sound card, and checked all the sound settings in game..

I'm stumped

Werid.. huh? It's just not satisfying to kill anything if you cant hear the carnage.. it must be an anti-axe nerf.

By last night, you mean the sounds work now? Or are you still having hte problem...

There still tweaking / fixing the 3d audio. Someone mention IGN had an article another update should come out in about a week to fix more things.

I would make sure you have the most up to date drivers for your sound card to be on the safe side.

No, but it was happening with my hammer two days ago (It's fixed now.) Axes and swords made sound at that time though. Hopefully EternalTempest is right about that update to fix whatever sound issues there are. I suppose that in the meantime it would be best to follow his advice and update your sound drivers just in case.

Setting the sound slider to the middle fixed it. Hammers don't sound the same without that thump.

Axes on ettins didn't make sounds either but again, fixed by moving the slider to the middle.

same thing happens to me when i do cyclone axe too much. just move your slider down, then back up again and it should be fixed. its because of the last update.

i have this problem too i found just moving the slider down and up again like mentiond above fixes it but is only temporary
