I'm in the midst of researching which components to buy for my first computer
build. When looking at psu's i saw SLI certifed psu's. I am considering using two
graphics cards, so i was just wondernig if i actually need an SLI certified psu or
if thats all just hype to increase prices.
ps. i know this is kind of a noob question but when i get my components do i also have to buy cables or do they come with them?
Thanks for you input.

No, it's actually not hype. I've tested with and without SLi certified, and the SLi certified are just plain better PSUs.

Am I correct to assume that the dictated power connector's for the cards / sli bridge have very clean stable voltage that meets a certain requirement for the certification (clean / stable power is very important all around).

go turbo cool 650 or 850 sli, very good PSU,s pricey but worth it.
