Hey, E/N question here

Hey all I have an E/N that I made as my first character figuring necs are always cool that can amass an army and ele's are nuker so I could kill a bunch of enemies. So I was just wondering, will this combination effectively kill and summon an army? Are there any cookie cutter builds for such a combo? Does anyone else have a Nuker/MM? Any idea on the build or what skills I should have? Any help appreciated. contact me via AIM Simpsonsaddict11.

Try not to do both at once. If you do it that way, then you would do both, yes, but not to its full effectiveness.

I had one before (when playing with hench).

E/N = minion will be the decoy tank, nothing more. You will do the killing.

N/E = minion will be fearsome DPS, and ele can spike. You may find yourself out of energy once in a while, but generally your minion's death keep your soul reaping working like a charm. More ideal for PvP.

I prefer N/E more than E/N, but that's just me. That is, if you're doing nuking and minion-mastering.

Yea, I wanted to try nuking/mm, ok well do you suggest I ascend and change my secondary? WHat should I change it for to be a good nuker, a Mo or Me, right?

I play E/Me(Mo) for the extra shutdown, and Inspiration.

I made my Ele with necro secondary for same reason. Thought I could make an army and do a lot of damage without the minions if needed. Come to find out that you are gimped on both fronts if you try to do both. For minions, you just dont' have the points in death to make it worthwhile and if you try to put any in death then your nuking abilities don't reach full potential.

I think both are great, MM and Nukers both have thier places. So decide which you want to play more and stick with it. Only when you try to do both will you suffer.

Amazingly enough though, I prefer Mesmer secondary for both MM and Ele. And for the same skill. That is I'm assuming you are a PvE player. Take "arcane echo" with you and you won't be disappointed. Although as a nuker you don't have that many reasons to echo your meteor shower and as a MM people will yell at you for not having Monk as your secondary.
