i know, all i see is the stupid warrior monk combination. i thought maybe i could TRY something different. so far, i have pvped a lvl 9 warrior/monk with my lvl 7 warrior/ranger, and i killed him in 5 seconds. so far my build is going great, strength, swordsmanship, and beast mastery. maybe i will add points to tactics. but really i would like to know what is wrong with a warrior/ranger

nothing is wrong with a W/R...MaTT is probably one of those people that cant do anything other than be a W/Mo and get owned every 5sec...Seriously..Who would want to join a guild that calls W/R or R/W noobs? a noob themselves obviously..

W/E owns W/Mo rather easily...
any W/X equipped to kill a W/Mo can do it without taking more than 50 damage.
A W/R or a R/W is a very very good build...
I'd choose R/W over W/R though, to make the energy-based skills, preps, stances, etc etc cheaper.
Ever think about a combo such as Hundred Blades + Apply Poison? Yes, very effective.
Don't listen to that nutcase.

well i like my warrior/ranger alot. he survives ALOT longer then my lvl 14 e/n does in pvp. ( i actually had a 10 game streak, which is my longest.) I think the pet greatly expands the warriors capabilities.

Pets are okay, but not great. Could be a lot of fun though, and there are some good skills to be found. Definitely get Tiger's Fury -- with a decent Beast Mastery you can run it constantly, and IMO it's better than Flurry or Frenzy. If you don't mind splashing Wilderness Survival, some of the preparations could be useful -- pay close attention to whether they effect "bow attacks" or just "attacks", as the latter should work with sword blows. Apply Poison is a common choice, and very effective.
Oh, and don't listen to noob-callers, W/R can certainly be effective. The only thing to remember is that sword and bow don't mix -- much better to pick one or the other and use the other profession's non-attack skills.
