Kill henches (or give us better hench AI)
Joh
I really wish we had a way to kill henches. I don't think there's any better way to illustrate why than with this screenshot. That's in Dreadnought's Drift. Right in front of Maw (fought there from Rankor which took about 1½-2 hours). Little Thom is the only one still alive, and since no monk is near enough for him to res, he just kept running back and forth (and for once didn't aggro anything). If we could kill henches by some command or something, atleast this wouldn't happen.
If not, then please give them better res AI. If Alesia/Lina/any other monk isn't near enough for him to res, then why can't he res someone who is?

It seems like he got stuck as you ran off to cap soul feast. You have to keep your eyes on them when running off to make sure they don't get stuck I know it is a pain to map back and then start over but it is better than before they flew away on you.You can summit bug report but this does not warrant it just go /bug and then report it to support.

Funny pic - Little Thom saved the day but was without a party. Every henchmen should have a res sig in their skill bar, and res Alesia. This is a pretty rare occurence, but it should be 'fixed', since there is no options you have left here, but to retry.

IT IS NOT ACTIVE, IT HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVE FOR 10 MONTHS NOW
EDIT
and here is one of the announcements

If you are wondering if we will continue to have the Official Bugs Threads, now that the game is live, well, no, we won't. There is still a way to report bug, glitches and even exploits and cheats, and it's as close as www.guildwars.com. Simply click the Support button on the site, and submit a "ticket" through our Knowledge Base. The search engine will give you a few suggested responses, but if none of them fit, go ahead and "Ask a Question" and our Support Team will get the report right away and tend to it as soon as possible. |

For these kind of situations we really do need some way to finish henches off, so we won't have to go through all that yet again. Right now I'm beginning to think, Feast of Corruption will be one of the few skills that I unlock with factions...

I think this would be exploited personally. Imagine a MM going out to solo farm, but they grab all the henchmen and bring a quick rez skill along with them.
Walk out of town, /killstupidhenchmen, make 7 minions, casts Veratas, rez a few hench, /killstupidhenchmen, and repeat until you have enough minions to plow through everything.

Make it /killteam and only usable if you are the only real person alive or if you are the only real person and you are dead.
Zaishen hench skins must contain large brains. That or they have different AI.

Had this same thing happen to me last night.. I died too far away from all the monks and the henchies that had resses were in the middle and just kept running back and forth between us.

But yeah that is going to get exploited beyond belief, they would have to make it so you can only /killstupidhenchmen if all player characters are dead.

Something like this case is when Mhenlo is dead, the player dies and Lina is still alive. She tries to resurrect Mhenlo first and if she can not do it, just moves around.

There are alot of broken things about henchmen beside rezing.
Like formup/follow functions for instance. So many times I would try to pull them out and they would keep fighting even when i cant see them on my radar anymore and im absolutely sure they are not blocked or anything. At the same time when i try to move during the fight (just make two steps around warrior to escape melee mobs) they all decide to stop fighting and formup around me.
Or one that totally pisses me off is when monk henchie suddenly decides that it is much safer for him in up infront and moves right into middle of melee fight (needless to say he instantly dies there).
Or the thing about henchmen response to AoE being still broken.
Or melee henchmen often getting stack and idling for no reason.
Or henchmen rushing into fight when nobody ordered them to, but totally ignoring targets that pounding crap outta me (as a caster i rarely wand enemies).
Or the bug i recently discovered when few henchmen suddenly decide that formup location should be 10 meters to the left (right/behind) and not around player, making it impossible to walk in tight locations between lava or traps.

The other problems are fine, even though they do tend to help you pop a vein in your forehead at times. I just want to be able to kill the bastards when all others are dead.

That gigantic spawn of ownage is what got them, and well, a while later, Life Siphon finished me off. Orion, Claude and Little Thom alive next to my corpse. One Ice Siege was hitting on them, the rest had went back to their spawn. First it finished off Orion (which was furthest away), then Claude, and then SKIPPED Little Thom and went back. You'd think he could atleast finish off who was closest before going back...

So he didn't res anyone, even though I'm pretty sure he does have res sig. This is how I'd like henches to prioritize res: Res any dead monk (preferrably a real player monk first). If no dead monks are close enough, res any real player that is close. If only henches are near (should never happen since they follow real players), res one of them, preferrably one with res aswell (if you were playing with real people you would communicate, henches needs to do the same). If nobody else have a res available, and the ones who do, are too far away to res, either go die so the team gets resed, or go find someone to res. |

I think they should be fair.
Monsters got better AI = so should henches (or customization)
or at least not stand around like idiots, you should at least be able to talk to them to get them to "stay" until u call a target

Well, the henchies are a bit of a problem. First, I like them and use them all the time. Usually with one or two other real people. We should be able to customize their skills and why do they not have 8 skills. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to give rebirth to Menlo. Basicly, I would like the henchies to be not just a stop gap for not being able to find another real player. A leverl 17 henchie should be almost as good as a level 17 player.
And the AI for each henchie should be different. I've noticed that if you have 2 warrior zashion they do exactily the same thing and move exactly the same way as if they were cut from a cookie cutter and noticed this in the new factions area too. Its like they took a short cut and only made one warrrior but let you pick him twice. I like the consept of Stephen or Little Thom who have completly diferent playing styles and personalities. It does seem strange that the mobs got smarter but not the henchies.
And it is easier to control them with 2 people, one can scout ahead and agro while the other by constantly moving back and forth can actually keep the henchies from running into the fray which can work like a stay command.
