Level 16, assuming that you're around Lion's Arch and have picked up a few skills as quest rewards:
Orison of Healing (spam this)
Dwayna's Kiss (also spam this, but on allies)
Healing Breeze (anti-degeneration, set-it-and-forget-it healing)
Heal Other (spike heal on allies, use sparingly)
Heal Area (self-spike heal for yourself, use sparingly)
Energy Tap
Channeling
Restore Life/Resurrect
Put most of your attribute points into HP, some into DF and the rest into Inspiration.
Easiest way to level is to play though the mission areas (1000 XP for completion).

I would use a less powerful boon heal monk (yes i know boon healers are usually necro secondary but mesmer should be fine)
Healing Touch (self heal)
Orison of Healing (primary healing spell)
Heal Other / Dwayna's Kiss (secondary healing spell - use either or)
Healing Breeze / Life Tap (emergency heal - can be replaced with life tap for energy management if needed)
Channeling (primary energy management)
Mend Ailment/ Remove Hex (use as needed)
Divine Boon (extra healing boost for every spell casted - critical skill for build)
Rebirth (I suggest rebirth over other res skills. - if you don't have it, use restore life)
As for stat layout:
Divine Favor: as much as possible
Healing Prayers: as much as possible AFTER applying points to divine favor
Insperation Magic: whatever is left
Hope you use this build
it took me a long time to recollect my thoughts as I have used this build when I was going through missions at mid-high level.

I believe that putting max points into divine makes healing others much more effective than putting maxed points into healing.
As for koneko's build I would say that Heal Party would be a better skill (although it costs more energy I believe) as it will also heal your party (and add on that divine boon punch). For my build you could change out Mend Ailment / Remove Hex if you feel a bit lazy and don't feel the need to having to remove those conditions and hexes. If you really aren't having a hard time healing others (maybe you have a healer hench or protector hench with you) and you feel that removing hexes and conditions is really helpful, you could add Heal Party to your skillbar and take out Heal Other / Dwayna's Kiss. Really it's just all personal taste.

I`m also lvl 16, my build is much similar to yours, however I do use only pure healing skills:
heal party
heal area
healing breeze
orison of healing
channeling
infuse health
restore life/rebirth it depends
and 1 slot for testing some skills, however it is usually dwayna`s kiss (and Divine Boon or remove conditions spell when needed). I still dont have heal other, but will switch to it when i got it. Points on HP, DF and the rest - Inspiration.

divine boon is the way to go at earlier levels as it gives you that extra healing boost. Basicly using divine boost gets you away from low level breeze/mending builds.

Nope, devine boon is not the way to go.
At level 16 he most likely has no energy elite management skills.
Also devine boon is usualy coupled with superior dev fav rune to get devfav=16 attribute.
Just use a good solid healing build that u can find on these forums until you get to level20 and get the two +15 attribute quests under your belt.

You don't really need a elite energy management skill. My FoW boon healer doesn't and I RARELY need br casted on me. At level 16, It may not be as effective but it still is sufficient.

I'm a level 5 monk/mesmer and well I honestly don't know in what direction I want to go. I like some of the Mesmer Skills and I want to use an even amount of both monk and mesmer skills...Any suggestions for that?

Read the many builds of Mo/Me in the Monk Build directory as well as the Monk Basic sticky page.
