My search option is screwed up so please forgive me if this was asked already but I was curious to know something.. For the preview event on Mar 24th the Assassins and Ritualists we create will they start at level 1 or will they be max level already and start later in the game? Or is the beta our chance to get things rolling so when its officially released we pick up from where we left off? Thanks ahead of time.

Good question... From what I understood ... If you use your Original characters to Explore Cantha from the Prophecies Campaign anything you find is yours to keep.

The Early access period is when your Factions Campaign Characters could be wiped, providing you a 24hr preview period to get a head start on the game.

The question is still, Will you have access to PvP lev 20s? and the answer is of course... As to PvE. It is still unknown if they will activate the PvE campaign itself for the event. They may just open the area up to Regular players and reserve the "new campaign" itself for early release period. If they do activate the campaign itself, I would expect a reset similar to the reset we all experainced during the original beta events.

But in order to avoid a beta reset, they may just open access the area and allow people to change secondary professions if they want too for access to the new characters outside of PvP for the existing prophecies campaign characters.

This would be a good question for Gaile to answer for sure. But in reality she may not even know yet as I'm beating they have not decided on if there is going to be a beta reset as of yet...

You've understood incorrectly. You will not be able to use your original characters during the preview event.

They've been quoted as being "high level". Whether this is max or not is unconfirmed. Your canthan characters in the preview event will have access to 4 missions (at least).

The beta is just that, a beta. You're characters will be wiped when the event ends. If you dont delete them, they will start as level 1 characters in factions.

Edit: Here are some quotes from the official site.

Players will be able to create new characters, including Assassins and Ritualists, on the new continent of Cantha. For beta testing purposes these new characters will start at a high level, with high-level weapons and armor, and will jump right into the middle of the Factions Campaign, where they will be able to play through four of the missions.

Players will also be able to create Assassin and Ritualist PvP characters, and unlock Assassin and Ritualist skills onto their accounts.

According to what Gaile has said this morning, chars will start at lvl 20, with 20 skills for each profession.

We will be able to play two story missions: Eternal Grove and Gyala hatchery; and two competative missions: Ft. Aspenwood and Jade Quarry. Plus more than a dozen quest areas to try out.

Also the new charcters that reset back to level 1 will also be able to stay on your account so that you can keep your name for that charcter.

Fallot has it down, but the characters you make will be level 20. Testing purposes mainly.
