Hi all,
Got a nice chaos axe i want to mod and have a 10/10 sundering mod in storage to put on it. Just recently i have seen people saying that sundering bow strings are pretty much a waste of time so i was wondering if people think the same for axes/swords etc. If so what would you recommend putting on a nice chaos axe for general use.
Thx for any suggestions

It does under ideal conditions against a 60AL target a whapping +6.-something damage. And that only triggers once every 10 hits on average. Compare that to Vampiric that does 3 damage per strike with sword/axe and 5 damage with hammer/bow, and it really isn't even a contest.

so is it safe to say that a 10/10 furiou mod is just as useless and the best way to go is with the vamp mod. What about if i wanted to sell it. Its a req 8 15% enchanted chaos with +30 hp mod on it. What mod would get the most loot for me.

I believe sundering is still the safest way to sell.

Sell the sundering bow string and buy a vamparic axe upgrade to put on your chaos... then use Mending to make yourself invincible
j/k.. no really if you're scared of using vamparic.. just keep it un-equipped until u start fighting.

But you didnt say you were planning to sell the chaos axe, and if you are you'd probably be best with sundering, as 90% of the people on this game are noobs and still think sundering is best.
When i was watching a guild battle on observer, i asked why one of them was using victos axe when its clearly worse than the razorstone, and had the entire channel against me saying i was a noob : /

Sundering isn't really absolutely horrible, but it certainly isn't worth anywhere near what it's valued. Generally, you get the highest price on something when it has a 10/10 sundering and a +30 fort slapped on it.
