Infusing Armor?

I've heard a lot about the Infusing all pieces of your armor. I've also heard they plan on making it so the first Infusion mission is only do-able once, as it was never intended to allow you to infuse your whole inventory through that single mission.

So far, I've played up to lvl 17 and never reached the infusion, but I plan to take my current character all the way (this time...for sure!)

Is it necessary to infuse all five pieces of your armor? What happens if none are infused? Or only one? I ask because I wonder if it's a waste of time to infuse horrible armor. I plan on wearing the Draknar's Forge (or 1500 a piece armor) and then wearing the 15000/piece armor. Will I need to infuse all five pieces of the 15k "cosmetic" armor?

Sorry for the questions, but I also saved up a nice set of runes as well, and depending on the info I get I may just use the runes on the lesser armors instead of waiting for the Darknar/post-Ascension armor.

From my knowledge the way infusing works is this. Everything hits your armor based on percentages, with the chest piece recieving more of the hits because it is a bigger target. When the Mursaat hit you with Spectral Agony you take dmg based on if it is infused or not. I believe that if they hit the piece that is infused it will do a lot less dmg than it would if it would hit one of the un-infused pieces. So people like to get all of their pieces infused to have the best chance to get the least amount of dmg dealt to them.

Please correct me if I am wrong on that one.

As to your second question you will have to infuse your armor all over again if you get a different set. Since the armor is different from the one you are wearing now you will have to because the infusing doesnt transfer over. If you have a good set of runes in your armor right now and are looking at the higher cost armor just for a cosmetic change i would think twice because you may not get those runes back out of the armor when you salvage them.

Its really up to you on the second set of armor....personally I'm Happy with the normal set. I dont need to stand out in a crowd.

Wandering my own road.

My experience with Infusion is each piece you infuse reduces the damage taken from Spectral Agony by a set amount. 4 pieces infused always yields 3 degeneration and 9 damage per second, and 5 pieces infused always gives 1 degeneration and 3 damage per second, while 0 pieces infused gives 10 degeneration and I think 50 (definitely not sure on that) damage per second.

10 Degen and 100 Damage per second over 10 seconds, in other words 1200 damage, granted the last time I was hit for full was long ago. Since it is a monster "hex", rather than a direct attack, it calculates over the entirity of your infusion, so if you have a total of 5 pieces infused, it reduces it to 1 degeneration and 3 damage per second over 10 seconds, or 50 damage.

You need to run the infusion "mission" once per piece of armor you wish to infuse, this means that if you do get a second set it is five runs to fill it.

Personally, I see no reason to force people to run it more than once at all, a person should become infused just like a person ascends, not that ascension does anything necessarily but unlock a few quests and continue the storyline.

Honestly, though, if you're willing to go through the effort of accumulating enough plat to buy the 15p armour sets, the extra half hour or so required for full infusion doesn't seem like it would be a huge deal for me. Also, infusion is only relevant against Mursaat – to my knowledge, it gives you no benefit on, say, the [email protected] missions, or even Hell's Precipice.

Ok, thanks for the help! Really good information...so based on that, I believe I'll infuse all five 1.5k pieces (if it really does stack up like that) and then simply collect a few more plat and get a new set of runes and re-infuse when I buy the 15k pieces.

First things first...have to reach the infusion mission

I really don't mind if they nerf the mission so that it takes longer to get infused, but I just hope they don't make it so that you can only infuse once.

Yeah, but I heard the initial plan was to have each piece be infused at a separate mission. So if that's true, that means that most likely we will have to infuse each piece of armor seperately via different missions. That would suck.

Why would that suck? It would make more sense to have each piece infused as a result of completing different missions. The current system "sucks" where you have to hook up with an "infusion run" and run the same mission 5 times in a row to get the necessary armour.

Can anyone give me some clues as to how to do this infusion. I am at the mission, I see the seer but he runs away. Do you just take off running as soon as you enter and try to catch him or what?

Actually, all of your armor gets infused at once... all the pieces you are wearing that is. I don't know if any of you know this, but you actually don't have to go into the mission to get your armor infused. Just leave out of Granite Citadel, through Tasca's Demise, and into Mineral Springs. At the top right of the area is a little ice cave full of ice imps and sometimes Trolls. After you kill all of these, you can continue up to wear you kill the Beast and get the Spectral Essence, the Seer is just a little ways past that. So, if you want to infuse multiple pieces of armor and they've got it set up to where you can only do the mission once, go through the other way... I've got screenshots of the entire area, the fight, and the seer.

Hahahahahahahaaahha do you know how old this tread is?? I didn't realize it was ancient until I saw the "run the same mission 5 times in a row" part... Hahahaha.
