Auction Penalties

Are there any? I mean, if you win an item, and the seller refuses to give it to you, is anything done about this? Just happened to me, thats why Im asking. Other than leaving feedback, which means little, what else can be done? No point in having auctions if the sellers can simply walk away without the concern of being punished.

In game a seller can also walk away for whatever reason. GwG is only a medium in de trading process and not accountable for the trade itself. The only thing they could do is ban a user who violates their rules/guidelines.

Guild Wars Guru Auctions takes action against auction users that continuously fail to live up to their buying/selling obligations. While we understand that there may always be exceptional circumstances that prevent a sale, we feel that our users have a right to expect that their transactions are completed. Accordingly, we work hard to remove "bad apples". In that context, honest feedback is an important indicator for the reliability of a participant in the auction system.
