Droks wasn't a problem until they added the solo monk killer scarab in the desert. That also resulted in mst of the griffons in that area killed before anyone gets to them. The trolls are one of the few remaining areas of easily soloable mobs.
It's only a problem if people let it get to them. They don't bother me so I don't think it's a problem.
Why do anything about them? The people that buy their gold on ebay will do whether it's $50 for a million or $100 for it. Anyone thinking that the ultra-rare items in the game will drop to a level that the average player can afford is sadly mistaken. If someone wants that perfect eternal shield that was in high end recently bad enough to spend $400 or more on ebay, let them. That doesn't affect me at all either, other than giving me a pretty good laugh at their expense (literally).
