What about the last Event? Are those accounts useless now?

ON the official GW site it lists ways that you can get into the preview event.

NONE of them however does NOT mention the previous event.

Now when the last event happened, they said that those accounts made on the Factions PvP Preview Weekend would be allowed to use that account in further Preview Events.

With the absence of that option, what about all of those preview accounts?

Are they dead unless someone plugs in a Retail key?

Why is this not mentiond by Anet?

If this means those accounts are useless now, then I won't be able to give away a preview key to someone else interested in the game and INSTEAD use it on myself.

have you tried logging on into that preview account? (to see if it's still accessible)

added: I think one of Gaile's chat logs said something about old preview accounts. I will check those out again.

Yes I did, and it says that the PvP Preview event is over. But I can clearly see the Assassin and Rit that I made right behind the message.

But the thing is, there is no recent Anet comfirmation that people from the Previous event would be able to access the next one.

Its like it never happend.

I doubt that they're useable - even if it did allow you to use them, this is a PvE event, so your PvP toons can't take part. Sure, you have account-wide unlocks on that account, but that won't apply to a PvE character - they unlock individually - so it doesn't matter what you unlocked, at all. May as well start over.

If you go into this account and go to options and manage keys like you did to set up the PvP event, you can add a pre-order key or an invite friend key to this account to re-activate it for the weekend. It will then be shut off again til a retail key in entered.

I used that Faction's PvP account and added the key I was given for factions PvE event (I did an oversite on my part and someone was nice enough to send me a key) since I can't free up any slots on my main account.

Actually, anything you unlock with either PvP or PvE is available to all your PvP chars of the appropriate class. He can delete his PvP toons and make new PvE characters if he needs to. PvE characters have never benefited from unlocks, they are the ones used to unlock stuff for PvP. Using the same account from the PvP event weekend you will still have the skills you unlocked there available for all PvP characters on that account.

Well the same goes for me execpt, I don't know anyone who would give me an extra key. I was planning to give mine to my nephew and use the one created from the previous event but it looks like I'll be needing it for myself.

have you thought that the reason you cant do anything with the old pvp preview account is that theres not a preivew on *right now*

so, on the day, try logging in again.
if they alow you to alter/deleat/remake a toon, it just means you cant do anything with a froob preview till the *Actual* day it starts
