Smacking crystal desert monsters

I have an E/Mo and can take down a lot of them so far. Having trouble with Sand Giants and Dune Burrowers though.

Does anyone have any builds that may work with these types of enemy solo or do you really always have to take someone else along to take away some of the aggro?
