Well I have 4 characters. They're all level 20...EXCEPT, my N/Mo 13. I'm not having that much fun with necro because to me it's not THAT powerfull as some other classes.. Well I was thinking of deleting him (hes got droks armour but whatever) and making an e/mo.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Do it, if you don't have fun with a character, delete it to free up room or use it for storage or for a dicated pvp slot (or use it this weekend for the event).

Did ele, loved it -> brought to end game
Ranger -> err ok (for me) deleted
Mesmer -> a bit better then ranger .. delted
Monk -> loved it -> brought to end game

Each class has different play style's, play the style you like.
(Make sure you clear off money and goods from your old character).

necros arnt all that powerful(enless twinked) until later in the game but u should definately keep ur necro seeing as how they can be big money makers
i have a 20 n/me that is my workhorse as an ss nec i can farm uw and as a MM i can farm sorrows furnace....of course doing both of these farming locations requires u put a lil money into sup runes and what not

There is nothing wrong with deleting a character you are not having fun with. A skilled mesmer can just about kill anything, I know that, but I'm just not a mesmer type of guy, same as my monk, I don't have the patience or the inclination to hang back and just heal.

If your not a necro person, that's cool. Now is a good time to delete, factions weekend. If there are some necro skills you like, maybe you are more of a curses than a minnion master. I like minnions, I like to see a hoarde of bone swarming. My brother likes curses, he likes to see a health bar that has so many degens nothing is going to save the target.

I like warrior, rangers and necros, I have played three other classes, but I didn't enjoy them so off they went.

The nice thing about this game is there is room for all kinds (contrary to popular opinion).

I was going to say that necros don't need to be twinked, but then all my weapons were obtained from my warrior in the desert, and I just made it to LA.

I absolutely loved my necro from beginning to end. More "passive" in the way she kills, but very entertaining, none the less.

I wouldn't say that necro's aren't as powerful - she's soloed (without henchmen) the game all the way to the desert and each of the desert towns/quests. Just a different playing style.

Go for it. Drok's armor isn't too expensive. Lvl 13 isn't hard either. I had a lvl 10 e/n. Got into the shiverpeaks, saw a mm pwning every thing in sight, made a necro right away. Similar thing with the monk I tried. I like healing on the side of doing tons of damage. But the monk got boring and I made him originally for farming later. So I made a wammo instead, which was fun for when I felt like beating things up close. And I'll be able to farm with him later. This was my second warrior, my first didn't make it out of presear because I still had to finish the game with my ranger and got bored.

Oh Noes! The 'burbs!

I've played both an ele and a necro, and I actually prefer my necro. Yes, the necro isn't very powerful at that point in the game, but if you stay with it, it will get better.

lvl 20 necro is one of the most fun classes to play in my opinion - and very useful at farming second only to the monk

Er... I never run out of energy as an SS necro...

Anyway, I agree with Haggard. At level 20, Necro is hella fun to play. Especially with SS.

Buy Factions, merge with your account, get two additional character slots, keep the nec, make your E/Mo and another character you want...

I have one of each character and enjoy each one. I do remember when doing my necro though that there was a period when he seemed a bit sub par. Then I got a couple extra skills along the way and complemented the build very well. Necros can be very powerful, just as powerful as any other class. There is no class that is supremely overpowered over another.

But if you don't enjoy playing the character then delete it.

I love playing Necro. I think you might have more fun playing it in the latter game when you can do Furance runs, UW, FoW, and Tomb.

Necro is my favorite class in game... (I used to love Ele to death.. until they nerfied it in the summer.)

My Necro was my last character and is currently my favorite. I only made her because I wanted to unlock all the skills and was lacking in the Warrior skill departement. I made her a N/W and went to town getting all the warrior skills. (I know I could have made a warrior primary, but I don't really like the class.) So anyway, I found the Necro to be an extremely fun class to play. Little did I know that in the endgame she would also turn out to be the best farmer/money maker I had. It's been a blast and I can honestly say it was a great accident that I even made her. I've got close to 1.5 million xp on her and have well over 50 unused skill points. She's earning about 100 plat a week for me and I don't farm all that much. (I've switched her to Monk secondary for MM duty and Mesmer secondary for SS/Shivers/SV duty.)

However, if you don't like the class then try something else.

I love playing a nec, I'd personally stick with it, they have some killer elite skills. But OT, there is no force on earth or in heaven that could make me believe that Jetdoc

Necro's are okay, I have one that I play MM with. I was kinda disappointed though because I came from Diablo 2 just before Guild Wars came out and Necros in Diablo2 are alot more powerful. In Diablo 2 you could get up to 50 minions including re-animated monsters that you just killed and they would stay alive for a very long time, you could crush anything in your way and it made you feel powerful. Unfortunately in Guild Wars the MM Necro spends half his time healing minions and countering degen to keep them alive, its alot more maintenance and not as interesting since you can only raise minion/fiends/horrors that basically look the same. Let me raise some bone dragons, drakes, and trolls and I'll be a happy camper.

If you don't like it, then delete and start over. It's a game, you should be playing it to have fun.

Necros can rock later in the game - Not many of the other caster classes can go toe to toe with a mursaat and survive.
I debated deleting mine cause she was lvl 12 and going nowhere fast.... I finally dragged her on through and got all her skills and I personally dont know what I would do without her - She rocks my sox bigtime! My mesmer I found doesn't have much use unless in pvp - but alas my hubby begs that I don't delete her lol.

In the end it is up to you, but I find it harder to survive on my ele than I do with my necro.

when you watch the amazing things that necros can do(ie from videos, pvp matchs etc) you would change your mind about deleting your necro.

somethings are:
protections prayers cannot protect against life stealing(like prot spirit, reversal)
n/mo's are really popular these days, you see em win halls, half there skill bar consists of healing, and only 2 skills needed for spiking, makes them quite hard to remove off an alter when there holding.

I had the same problem. Three level 20s and a mid-level necro.

Except I loved my necro and wanted an MM

So I deleted my warrior.

It was hard to do.

I love my necro, but early on it is hard to say. I played a mesmer to where you are and then got irritated with its low offense. I later switched my necro secondary to Mes and was blown away by how great it was. Now I got all the skills for the Mes line on that Necro (including elites) and am thinking of adding a Mesmer character to my account. Sometimes it just takes time to appreciate what you have.

I deleted my 20 ranger for my necro. I am one of those players when playing something for hte first time i seek NO help online for a solid build untill i am already very familiar with what what i think are the good builds to use.

up untill ascending on my necro i figured the character really wouldnt last long. only knowing a crappy MM build because my minions kept dying(most usefull minion healing skill is droks +), a decent blood build but nothing too fancy, and a pretty pointless curses build(no SS).

once i got to lurk around the southern shiverpeaks for a while and picked up quite a few usefull skills i fell in love with my necro. my minions lived alot longer, i learned the ways of blood spike, and real battery, and i picked up SS for curses to have a better/different style of mesmer degen build.

so in my opinion/suggestion, why dont you try to unlock more skills before you scrap the character at lvl 13

I actauly deleted 3 necros before actualy taking one up to 20. SInce I got him to level 20 I haven't played a single other charecter for more then maby an hour or 2 a week(save my pvp slot). But If you want to be a MM you NEED Vertas Sac or your going to suck simple as that. Which is a late game skill. SS again late game skill unless u get runs which I did but at low levels it shard to ss effectivly. I would say go blood till atleast desert then maby go SS(capped rightoutside camp rankor). I still Play all 3 lines which is what I love about them, though its your guy jsut my idea of fun is not being limited to echo->meteor Shower Repeat which unfortuatly out of pvp is all that people want.
