How important in strength to a sword and shield wielding warrior?
travh20
I am a W/R and have many of my points invested in strength. is this a good idea? or would those points be better off spent in tactics and swordsmanship?

Totally depends on what skills you use.
If you find yourself using Dolyak Signet for primary defense, then yes, a high strength is nice.
If you find yourself using stances for primary defense, then Tactics is a wiser way to spend your points.

well it depends genreally on what you want to do
If you want to get the most damage from your attacks your best bet would be to pump up your weapon mastery to the highest you can.
Strength really isnt that great of a attribute it adds about 1 extra damage per attribute level for attacks skills. Once past attribute level 9 or 10 the extra damage from strength isnt really worth it.
Weapons mastery on the hand usually increases your weapons mastery linked attack skills damage by at least 3 usually and also increases the normal attack damage of your weapon.
Tactics if you use Defenseive stance and want to Tank for PvP.
