I do not have an Elementalist primary so I can't test this and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on turning this into a R/E or just general tips to improve it just to satisfy my curiosity.

looks similar to a solo ele build... although this one in particular seems a bit gimped from low offense and poor energy management. Try this:

Stone Daggers
Earthquake
Aftershock
Crystal Wave
Aura of Restoration
Earth Attunement
Kinetic Armor
Ether Renewal

Spam stone daggers to keep kinetic armor up and to gain energy with ether renewal. Earthquake, aftershock and crystal for big damage. Make sure you use the crystal wave first to avoid scattering the enemies. A 20% enchant mod or something close to it works very well with this.

Give this a try. Play around with it a little bit. You can try putting Storm Chaser in there. Or trade out Glyph for Ele Attunement, Whatever.

Create a Meteor Shower at target foe's location. For 9 seconds, foes adjacent to that location are struck for 91 fire damage and knocked down every 3 seconds. This Spell causes Exhaustion.

Glyph of Energy [Elite] (Elementalist other)
Your next Spell costs 20 less Energy to cast and does not cause Exhaustion.
