For some reason people don't seem to like the wyvern armor. My main question is. Why do people not like it?

I love it, it looks cool, and is cheaper than the other stuff, the thing rmains though.....I like the dmg reduction of Knights better. and yes, I know it doesn't stack.

well be for i fot my FoW set for my W/mo i thought about that set but looks killed it for me i used a dragon set dyed black with a 15k ascalon helm dyed black and the look was there for me ^_^ so i would say the problem is the look and the fact that the helm makes you look like a 1980's wwf star

Im thinking of dumping my Knights and going 8k Wyvern. I'm not saving for the 'status' of having a 15k set.

1.5k * 5 pieces = 7.5k is what he means, I guess.

I'm pretty sure armor at droks is 1.5k a piece. I'm also pretty sure that "8k armor" stands for either the necro's scars or the monk's tats crafted at 15k armor crafters since they cost less.

Regular Drok's armor is 1.5k a piece. Drok's tattoos for Monks and scars for Necros are 800g a piece.

Regular Granite Citadel/Marhan's Grotto armor is 15k a piece. Tats and scars are 8k.

and wyvern could hardly be called 8k a piece because of the materials (iron and scales ftw)

I think most of the wyvern looks cool...except for the helm. It looks like someone skinned your face and it is showing through all the muscle and blood underneath. Some people don't like the big pig face on the chest plate either.

In my opinion ..... first concern is performance, second is appearance.

The helmet never dyes the same as the rest of the armor, either. I think it's because the base colors are different. It's subtle, but noticible anyway.

Of course, my video card sucks, so that might also be the reason.

Regardless, I've never regretted my decision to get Wyvern Armor. I'm not a hardcore player and I liked the bonus and the way it looked. End of story.

(Yes, I do switch helmets depending on my build. )

I think it looks like someone chased you down and stripped all of your skin off. Bleh! =)
