I just got the preorder this weekend, 75$ in canada. Ouch. O well, i added the code to my accoutn but i cant get any of the items, how do I get them?

When you do the /preorder in town, the items should just appear in your inventory. If that's not happening, I don't know what to tell you.

Try also creating a new character, either PvE or PvP and the items will appear automatically in your inventory. If this doesn't work, then it's time to email GW support.

Also make sure the key is showing up correctly in your access-key list (accessible by clicking the "edit account" button, I think it says) in the client after you've logged in.

hmmm, i did check the codes, they're there, but am not at my comp now, so i will check the inventory later. I am reluctant to mail support because they were sooooooooooo slow wen i messed up my access key. (didn't have a coin, so i scratched too much off, got it eventually though)

If you paid $75, you got the Collector's Edition. I don't believe that this gives you the special Factions Preorder, which does contain the special items.
I think that the Collector's Ed and Preorder versions have seperate content. I am getting both......gamestop.com has a deal where if you buy Collector's, you get free Preorder. The Preorder shipped, I received it, put in the key, and whammo I got the items (it's funny using them and watching the reaction you get).
You should confirm that you got the Collector's. Do you actually have this thing in possession? My understanding is that it won't ship for a while still, whereas the Preorders are available.

He may not have gotten the collectors edition though. He said he paid $75 canadian which is around $50 US. so i figure he got the regular preorder.

I've heard a few times that Canadians didn't get such a great offering this go around. I don't remember the specifics of what they did NOT get, but in my pre-ordering I've been very careful to make sure that I get the pre-order nicelies AND the collectors ed nicelies. Took some self-education, but Anet has definitely NOT made this a simple task.

Erm...I payed $10 American for my pre-order package and got a DVD case with an acess-key booklet and a bunch of bonus random stuff. What on earth are they selling up there that costs $75 Canadian?
