Not much has been said on that part. I am guessing that the extra slots will be added on the April 27th. You will have 24 hours to get the retail version CD-Key before the time runs out at 11:59 PST April 28th.

I would imagine you'll get your extra slots when you imput the keycode and join your factions with prophecies. Otherwise your factions comes with 4 slots.

Hmm, the 2 new slots are part of factions, so you cant get them before its out.. lol pretty obvious to me.

well im hopeing thats not the case already used my 4 slots up and would hate to have to delete one of them to access 24 hours in advance

i

f you merge the Factions to your existing account you should get the slots on the 27th 24 hour early preorder deal.

you will have til the end of the 28th to enter the retail code or be locked out of Factions until you enter the retail code.

?? grace period for what? They said Factions comes out April 26th in stores I believe so that'd mean you go buy it on the 26th, then input your CD-key to be able to play factions and since you've input your pre-order key you get to start on the 27th. Or I'm wrong? Or you're talking about something else? Grace period for what?

Well the shipment to those who pre-ordered online... for me anyway I was to expect mine bwteen the 24-26th.

And what would be the point in having a keycode to play the game early if it was not out early and no one had it anyway...

Either way I'm set if my pre-order arrives on time.

I think the 2 extra slots will be available when you enter the actual Factions game key, pre-order key is not enough. If you receive your game before 4/27, you can enter the game key and get your 2 extra slots for the early access. Otherwise, you have to use one of your existing 4 slots to play the early access. The pre-order key only give you access to the server 24 hours earlier, the 2 extra slots are associated with Factions key. That's my best guess.

But why? Let's say Factions is your first game... early access is not going to happen without any slots!

I can't see why you wouldn't get your 2 slots...

Yes, if you create a new account with pre-order key, you will get the 4 slots during early access, but after 48 hours, if you don't input retail key, your account will be locked. But if you add pre-order key to your existing account, and after 48 hours you don't enter Factions retail key, how do they deal with your 2 extra slots? They couldn't lock your account, because you can still play Prophecies. Obviously they couldn't delete those 2 slots either. They will have to keep those extra slots even if you never purchase the retail version of Factions. Keep in mind, the 2 extra slots are provided when you add Factions to your Prophecies account. The pre-order key only give you early access to the server and the bonus weapons. So for those who used up all 4 slots, you have to pray you could receive the game before 4/28 to get early access, or delete one of you characters.

Uh, why couldn't they simply lock the 2 extra slots? (As those are part of Factions)

I've even asked the same question about the merging and getting the 2 slots, she has yet to reply.
