How do I ascend my m/wo, it is hard

I have a m/wo and i have no idea wut skills and stuff i should equip to beat the doppleganger. I have tried a few times and it is frigin hard, plz post any builds or info that could lead me to ascension!!!!!! ty everyone

Theres a nice thread in the Community Works fourm about how to beat your dopple.
You should also specify your level. I ascended at level 18. I just brought all smiting skills and made sure i casted first.

I found GREAT (1st try) success with a sword, and spamming riposte/deadly riposte. the key to ALL dopple fights is to bring skills that will make himself hurt himself (or herself)

put all u`r points in divine favour, take divine boon and stay far. now kill him whit u`r wand, while u heal urself with divine boon. becouse it`s an enchant he will use it only once..good luck

lol, im sorry i meant m/wa but I DID IT, i tried the divine boon thing and about 20 other things and they didnt work. What i did was a 4 skill build, symbol of wraith, zealots fire, reversal of fortitude, and bane signet. I am a lvl 15 but i put as many points as i could in smite, then i put the rest in divine favor and 3 in prot. whenever the double got close... it took dmg because i spam casted reversal of fortitude, it was awesome....i owned this thing, trust me, THIS IS THE ONLY BUILD THAT WORKS, i tried um all, and for a lvl 15, this one was the best.

I don't know if its still true but the doppenganger never used healing breeze when I did it... And I just kept spamming it, and beat him in like 20 secs...
At the time it seemed like a glitch. but it was true on 3 characters many months apart. Most recently was in February.

Take Healing Breeze and Retribution. You might also want to take Protective Spirit and Guardian just incase your health gets too low. Dopple will kill himself to death. I did this today with my Mo/W 12.

Do it is this way healing breeze but don't use it and the others are retribution and holy wrath and cast those 2 before you step on the last rock.Then wand her to death.

I beat my dopple with my warrior in about 12 seconds.
The only thing you need on your bar is frenzy. I added some of the damage skills like desperation blow and wild blow to make it go quicker.

Like Bath's Aura, Symbol of Wrath and Frenzy. Run up to him, cast both smite spells. He should use Frenzy (and you won't obviously) so he'll take double damage while you take normal damage. Guess who's gonna die first?

You all are thinking too hard about smite and everything...
Just like the ranger load yourself up with spirits (if your a ranger) but speaking about a monk..give yourself a bunch of useless (not so vital) enchantments. He'll waste all of his time casting them. If you have war secondary slap on frenzy. Then just wack him to death!

I think the deal is he will only use Healing Breeze to counter degen. Thus, you get a major advantage if you don't degen, as you can use it and he won't.

Wow I'm supprised this hasn't ben mentioned this is how I did it..
I packed ALL Hammer Skills, packed a hammer + frenzy and smashed him to death... he can't use hammer skillz.

I used a sheild -2 damage while in stance, -2 damage while enchanted and a max sword, then used Sprint for the stance bonus (dopple wouldn't use it) and Breeze and just hit him, finished in around 30 seconds.

try using healing breeze as a monk/warrior, he does not use it. if you cant do it then, id suggest you switch your secondary as a ranger. slot all the rituals and one powerful skill you would use that recharges fairly quick.. your double will most likely use it a few times but wont spam it like you would.

ive done this a couple of times and worked well so give it a go if all else fails bring a axe hammer or sword and a bow , both times i did it he used the bow i ran up to him and choped him up and as said before bring skills tht wil harm himor her self no healing skils!

They fixed that glitch. Doppleganger now does use HB if you bring it. Anyways i just put all points in Axe and went in and hack and slashed him up. I had Droks armor though which might of helped. LeviGarrets build sounds like it would work the best though. Im not sure since i asscended my Mo/W along time ago.

The HB thing is NOT a glitch. Monsters and Henchies only use HB to counter health degen......This is still true

LOL...I used the same build as you! except I only brought [prot spirit. zeolots,reversal and usless encahnts to drain his energy] I didnt bring the other smites because it hurts on desert collectors armour at lvl 16...lol I still have that armour because Im cheap and am working on another character (barely going to my monk unless farming SF for my other char) without beating the game (I stopped RPing with my monk since the ring of fire lol) I asked evrybody and they said just get breeze and sword...Bullshit...Another char said bring vigariouse spirit and healing seed...Bullshit scamed (he said give me 500gp and Ill tell you lol..too bad for me)... In conclusion you just have to be creative.
PS. I farm with this build with adding a few skills like balthz and essence...Well I used to but now I just heal for greens in SF
