sometimes even Panic

Some discussions are meant to play itself out. She would only want our opinion, not subjugate the discussion and bring only her thoughts on the issue.

why can't she just come out and say that, then?...the mere knowledegement that the devs are at least aware of the nervousness felt among many pure PvE players would be nice...

She's in PR. There are topics that she is not allowed to say or she get yelled at by her boss (or could get fired).

It's the nature or rep's and for game companies, the amount coming from Anet PR is much much better then most games I know.

I suggest you listen to the voice interview with Jeff (link was on main page) with one of the co-founder of the game, and read the interview / articles he give insight as to why things (and more information) on factions and you get a good grasp at there mind set and a lot of stuff makes sense as to the changes and why (how they feel).
