Does the damage reductions from Ascalon Armor and Knight's Armor stacks?

At first, I thought they do not stack, but recently I have seen a few people using both Ascalon and Knight's Armour pieces together, so I wonder if they stack or not.

by not stacking, does it mean that the pieces together don't stack to make -10 reduction, or does it mean that they don't stack with absorption runes? I never was too clear on what it meant. I just assumed that each piece has -2 reduction, but each one piece doesn't add to the whole armor.

Only one piece, either Knight's or Ascalon, will give you -2 damage globally. Knight's reduction and Ascalon reduction do not stack with themselves or each other. The armor stacks just fine with an Absorption rune and a shield.

I believe you can have one rune and one piece of reduction armor to get the max reduction (not taking shields into consideration). Adding more runes/armor pieces will be a waste of money.
