Mae govannen!
I hope this is the right forum for it, but I just needed to share this little story and especially the picture with you!
OK, so I wanted to get back to the Trainer in the Ascalon Settlement north of Lion's Arch to get some skills for my E/Mo. So with 5 henchmen I make my way. Some corners later we were closed in by Fire imps and other stuff, and the henchies died in almost no time, especially because Alesia, again, just wanted to tank. So I try to run back to LA to not get a death penalty and get the henchies alive again. Needless to say I cad a couple of Imps on my tail incinerating me all the way.
Just one more stride and I would have been save... ^_^

Mariena Feladon
Hehe.. That's actually pretty funny. I almost got killed a couple of times in this way and I was relieved to get full health in the next area.
Btw, what's "Mae govannen"?

I'm sure aether will post what exactly it is soon.
Side note: Great capture ;D Hate it when that happens!

"Mae govannen" is a respectful elvish greeting from the Lord of the Rings. It bascially translates into "good/nice fellowship". I use that in every fantasy-based game/forum I am into ^_^

Loosely like the 'well (have we) met' or 'good meeting (you)'.
It is Sindarin.
Spooky
Fire Imps and Henchmen do not get along particularly well, though the Tengu in that area are even worse. For what it's worth, I find it to be a good deal easier to hang a right after leaving Lion's Arch and travel up the Bog Skale path, which eventually leads you out onto the beach, where you can hang a left, fight some Mergoyles, then deal with a Gypsie Ettin or two, and there's the Ascalon Settlement. It's much easier than taking the main road, and there's also a very easily overlooked quest NPC in the swamps this path takes you through that offers skills as a reward.

@Arran: LOL

Nice shot. I like how you're a burning corpse on the threshold. Makes it look like you were part of some bandit gang trying to raid the city.
Crom the Conqueror
Tough luck there buddy.
I remember my first character, I made it in to LA with only 2 health, call that lucky.

Yeah, Ascalon Settlement is annoying for having a skill trainer in a location to which you can't directly map. I always just try to make the run and leave my henchmen as fodder, which usually works.
Nai Anar ar Isil caluvan tielyanna. (I always preferred Quenya over Sindarin)
