I've spent many hours trying to help people sory out their skill bars for HA or GvG, and even PvE..and an idea struck me that i thought could be cool.

How about someway of displaying your current skill bar to other players, instead of having to type it out?

this could also be used for showing other players what skills you want them to take, or suggest taking, instead of, again typing it out.

This could look much like the window that appears when you learn a new skill from completing a quest.

It should also allow you to paste the proposed skillbar to your own, providing you have all the skills available of course.

Good idea I suppose, while Im sure there are downfalls, I wouldn't mind it. Perhaps something similar to a trade window?

bad idea. If you implemented this, every elitist in HA would be asking for skillbars. Yes, they already do this, but you can lie to some degree until they find out. If you implemented this, only more people would be asking for skill bars. For people with new accounts, they would not get into any groups because all the premade builds are horrible compared to popular builds.

to some extent, i agree. it would cause every elitist to want to see everyones skillbar before they go, but it would be nice to be able to show the skills without having to type them out

I always get people telling me what to run, be it any kind of monk or fc order (the two things I play the most). I'm sorry people, but I've held halls with my builds, which is more than most people can say. Sure I'll try new things sometimes, but if the group build is something normal, then I'm not going to listen to you. That's just how it is.

No real need for it. For the above mentioned reasons of elitists.
Any organized team usually has TS or Vent, therefore no need to type anything out. TS is free and there are free servers also, headsets can be bought for under 15 dollars, get with the program already.

This is one of the best things I have seen anyone post in a long time. Just because you have some UBER build, never doubt that someone out there is running a better build or a different one that works just as good as yours does. I love seeing people not using the same builds all the time. Watch how they play their build and you may just learn something, and you may just find a way to tweak your build to make it better than you thought it ever could be.

Hopefully making it easier to discuss skills will lead to more coordinated skill selection.

Elitists are elitists by nature. Creating this system in GW will not create more elitists. It may even help identify elitists, at which point you can decide whether or not to remain in the team.
