Theres only 1 req for a weapon, and thats the factor that goes for all of the stuff in the weapon, i.e Damage, Miss ratio etc. If you dont have the 9 communing you dont have all of the benefits from the weapon. Just likea focus item.

Um no. I use Koles Torment on my trapper Ranger for the extra energy. I dont have 9 in blood (or whatever it is). I dont even use a necro secondary. I still get 15 extra energy.

Staves always give +10 energy (+15 if they have +5 energy mod), no matter what class and what requirement.
I didn't notice that with my Spiritbinder. Gonna log in and check.

EDIT:
Yea same here, it's only +5 energy.
