Elite skills

Hi gang, I was looking for some guidelines on acquiring elite skills. Is there a specific point at which you can begin to get these? I got some intel on a boss that had an elite skill for my necro, but when I used the capture signet after killing him, it wasn't there. Is there something I might be missing, or do I need to reach a certain point in the story? I've already long hit lvl 20.

Elites are mainly in the Crystal Desert, Southern Shiverpeaks and Ring of Fire Island Chain. Guildwiki.org lists all elite skills by obtainable location also.

I'm curious to know the boss you were killing, that had an elite skill, and why you were unable to capture it?

The bosses in question were Flaw Rootplague in Ettin's Back and Mossk Rottail in Bloodstone Fens.

Likely an outdated listing of Elites. For the first like 2 weeks the game was out, Elites were everywhere. There were Charr bosses with Barrage and Hundred Blades. Then they moved them all.

Use that list to find elites. Hasn't been updated with Sorrow's Furnace elites, but it is accurate otherwise.

They use to have elites but not anymore been that way for in while at release you could cap Bull's Charge, 100 Blades, Healing Hands, Spike Trap, Quick Shot, Virulance and Wither pretty early in the game.


Now you have to wait till crystal desert and level 20 areas to get elites.
